Would it be possible to have a icon or something on the forum that indicates if anyone is in the chat room?
That way someone could go in and others will see the icon and maybe pop in to say HI.

Perhaps it could even indicate how many people are chatting too? It might draw a crowd and the chat room could get busy at times other than Thursday night...

Your thought?

That would be most helpful.  I certainly would second that request.  It is sad that the chat room is not used as much as it could be.  I wanted to be there for my first time on Thurs. but could not due to a conflict of activities.

I just wish it would show you who's in there before you log in. That way, if there's someone in there you owe money to, you wouldn't have to continue. [8D]

Maybe just have the text "Chat Room" turn red if anyone is in it. I was thinking an Icon would be nice though. But whatever works is fine. :-)

Not yet, but Eric, Matt, or Jose should be along soon to correct that.

You will know because one of them will give you a grade, probably on the initial post, that will translate into points for you.

All I know is we started about the same time then there was this whoosh and smoke and a long blur as he passed me! I think he's in the next county now. hehehe.

It's been suggested before a few times and it's a great idea, if possible. I went ahead and gave you a point, I also gave Troy one because he showed and example of what he would actually like to see. Post like that are helpful, when you give us visual examples of what you want, like when Dave asks for examples of what you would like to see in a product, if you can give visual examples it's much better.

Points to both of you[;)]

It would also be nice if DJ people could have special chat icons/avatar, so we wouldn't have to worry about impersonators anymore. But i don't think thats possible

Great idea! And JP is there any way while your adjusting the chat lights/icons to bring the section with names of the forum users who are currently in the forum up to the top of the forum homepage - just below "Active users: 126"?

Saves time in having to scroll down to see who's there at the moment

You know the icon/indicator could be that the DJ Chat button/link flashes yellow when there is somebody in the chat room, maybe light blue if a DJ employee is in the chat room and sirens and bells if DH is in the chat room.   Ok, maybe not the sirens and bells.

Actually, way back when I had color (that's "colour", Paul) in my hair and beard, I used to drive a friend
crazy by singing that, and the Dead Parrot bit didn't help either.

About 3 years ago she called me out-of-the-blue and shouted "YOU NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT THE VIKINGS!"
and then slammed the reciever back on the hook.
