crazyberns -> Alpha Channel problem (5/20/2007 3:21:16 AM)

i recently bought ETK buy 1 get 1 free bundle and was excited of using them with my Final cut pro 5.0.4 software. I was able to use the backgrounds without any problem. the only problem that i encountered was with lower thirds and MDE's with supposed to have "alpha channel". i really can't figure it out. There's always that gray color thing...It's annoying! How am i gonna get rid of that and change it to alpha channel? I actually followed the tutorial but to no avail. The juicer 3 that i installed is ok but this certain configuration setting wherein you have to change the setting to millions of colors + thing for you to be able to come up with alpha channel, but i can't open that damn setting button. by the way, my system is a Macbook pro intel core 2 duo with FCP 5.0.4 editing software. any input would be appreciated. thanks.[>:]

Hi crazyberns, welcome to the forums. I'm not sure why you can't open the settings button. Try this just to see if it works. You should be able to pull the lower thirds off straight from the disc and drop them into FCP. Put a clip on track 1 and drop the lower third on track 2, that should work.

Here are some support videos and pages that will help you get up and running with your Juice products, you can always ask a question here too.

Hey Crazyberns

while not related to juice you should be running FCS 5.1 (that is the universal version of FCP) at least or FCS 2 (which is an amazing upgrade)
5.0.4 was not designed for the intel system
