I'm working on a project that will have scrolling text in sync with spoken word over TV. This is a Bible Reading program and wanted to see some suggestions on what clean font to use and perhaps a good background to make for easy reading. Trying to get the creative juices flowing and thought I could start with this forum. I still have yet to find a sweet font to use for video.

Thank you for any input,
Mark Hewitt

Word of advice, for readability, go with a san serif font. Arial sure isn't exciting but it's easy to read quickly...

Contrast and Point size are also very important - Also, don't forget anti aliasing.

While san-serif is good, you cna use a serif font if you will be having a lot of text (and you make it large enough to read in the first place).

Possibly have a region on the bogttom of the screen, seperate from the picture/video/graphics and scroll that.

This is where I love shooting 16:9, bringing it into a 4:3 workspace, moving the 16:9 footage up to increase the size of the void space at the bottom and then use that for onscreen text.
