I have found that when I import SWIPES from the Juicer into a folder for "rendered" SWIPES, if I tell the Juicer to import the audio as a seperate file, the Juicer will make a seperate audio file, but still iimport the SWIPE with it's own audio, for a total of two audio files. How do I get the juicer to import just one SEPERATE audio file?

Archer, Please tell us more about your system, so we can try and reproduce your results... What version of Juicer are you using and what Swipes? (in reply to Archer9) |

I am using the Juicer 3 with all updates except for quicktime pro, and I have ten voulumes of swipes. It doesn't matter which swipe I render. If I try to render the swipe with seperate audio, it will always render with audio embedded plus the separate audio. I am running Windows Vista 32 bit, the latest build of Liquid, HP 2 quad with 4gb of ram and ATI X1900XT graphics card. (in reply to mediatvguy) |

You know what...Brain Fart!!! I think I got it now. I don't get my computer back till Friday so I need somebody to comfirm this as correct...You can bring the Swipe in on the main video track (S1) which then should put the accompanying Audio on track A1. Then if you dont want that paticular sound effect you can just delete the audio, which will leave you with just the visual effect. Correct?

Archer, You are correct. However, you should be able to render the Swipe without audio... Can ou post a screengrab of your Juicer render/export settings? (in reply to Archer9) |

Hi Archer, Just a note, I always select "Insert Grouped". This puts the video and audio on the same track. I do it this way because I can edit to my heart's content and the video and audio stay together. You can disband and ungroup later required. Please you can turn the audio off on the video/audio track by clicking the speaker icon and leaving the video icon active. I am checking the swipes with separate auido track in a few minutes. The Juicer version I have 3.1 build 105 created a avi file for the video and wav file for the audio when asked. I played the video and it did not contain any audio. What Version of the Juicer are you using?? Did you create a .mov file or .avi file for your video? I'd like to replicate your steps. _____________________________ Jim "It is fun doing the impossible" Quote from Walt Disney (in reply to Archer9) |

I downloaded Juicer 3 in Feb, but it has updated many times since then so I would like to think that I have 3.1 Again, I'll have to wait till Friday to confirm. Yes, I import as an AVI too. I also insert grouped in Liquid. The reason why I was trying to seperate the audio in the first place was because when I would turn off the speaker on the track with the swipe, somehow when I would burn the sequence to DVD, Liquid would still render the audio. I couldn't figure why this was happening. However, I recently found out that my render drive was about to go out on me, which is why is why my computer is in the shop. I am now thinking that when I get the new drive, that problem will be solved. While I got you here Windhamjim, could confirm the settings in the Juicer which will enable you to render the swipes without audio. I want to be able to render a few swipes without audio so I can use different sound effects on them. (in reply to windhamjim) |

Thanks!!! By the way, I have Juicer 3.03 build 270. When I rendered with the settings you suggested, the swipe still came in with audio embedded. It's cool though, I can always bring it in on the main video and just delete the audio if I don't want to use it.
