I'm Rending files off of MiniDV tape to Mpeg-2 for local access TV.

What are some of the settings you guys are using for best quality?

Med. speed Motion in video, does this change your settings?

Other Suggestions or helpful hints?

Actually, the MPEG-2 template "DVD NTSC" is perfect for anything under 90 minutes (files fit on a standard DVD; after 90 minutes you need to change bitrate settings). Click the custom button and change quality to Best, Video tab to two-pass render (near variable bit rate section), and go!

Thanks for the good info!
The TV station has not let me know what format/media they will accept, this will be a good start. Don't have the ability to put on tape other than re-record back to MiniDV, not sure if this would change any settings in Vegas or not?

Jeff, all you have to do is a "Print to Tape".
It's in the Tools menu list.
And no, this won't change anything in Vegas.
It will give you a higher quality copy as MPEG is not as good (clean) as DV-AVI.
