Hello all. Brand new to DJ and Juice Drops. Looks like a day late and a dollar short! Any ideas on finding anything like the Christmas set somewhere else? Rather strange...I understand "sold out"...I don't understand "No longer available!" A REAL bummer!!!! _____________________________ I ain't never seen a skinny King! |

LivinLarge: Glad to see you here, welcome aboard. The last word I had was that they were re-tooling their JuiceDrops lineup ... and closing out the old selections. Some of them had 100 images on the DVD, the newer ones were at 25 ... and the disparity was causing no end of confusion to customer support, as you might imagine. There are still some excellent volumes in the $9.95 bin - get 'em while they last! deb _____________________________ SouthPoint Foursquare Church Fresno, CA BlogMe (in reply to LivinLarge) |

With close to 400 individual products our inventory situation is getting out of hand. Last year we made the decision to begin the process of reducing our inventory and planning our transition to the world of downloads. Most (but not all) current product lines are at end of life as we know them as physical products. Even with $9.95 deals it is taking us a long time to get through our inventory and it is unfortunate because it sets price expectations that are in no way sustainable in the long run. But eventually the Jump Backs, MDE, Juice Drops, and PDE lines will all go away and be only available as individual downloads. This will be great for people that would like to see some of these lines (particularly Juice Drops) come out more often because we will regularly release new individual JDs and respond more rapidly to customer requests. All the StackTraxx are being repressed at least one more time after that it is unknown. October 2nd a container will arrive at our warehouse that will replenish all our sold out StackTraxx volumes. This line still has legs but we are working on the next generation of StackTraxx which again is likely to be more on an individual basis. Not everyone will be happy about this but the way of the world is more and more individual downloads and we feel the need to move in this direction so that we can more rapidly respond to customer needs. Rather than taking six months from conception to release a item could be released in weeks or even days. Not everything will go download because it isnt feasible. ETKPRO and THEMEKIT sets are very difficult to take to download due to their size (one set is easily 9gb and can be up to 27gb). < Message edited by David Hebel -- 8/15/2008 2:06:09 AM > (in reply to debc) |

Wow - While I am looking forward to the downloads, I still have a great need for physical product. Lemme splain.... I have limited hard drive space (1.4 TB) and run pretty full (75%) most of the time (y'all know how much room video takes). If I were to keep my current juice collection all online (like the download option requires) it would be unthinkable (I only keep just what I need at the moment on the HD since I can always get it back from the DVD's) - All DL is gonna give me is the need to burn my own DVD's for archival since I could not keep all that juice on HD. Dave - While I grouse about how much $$$ I spend sometimes, it is still far better for me (from a money perspective as well as a physical storage one) to have DJ product on DVD - Although I do understand the benefits of downloads for DJ and the customer base, please consider keeping DVD options alive. _____________________________ DJ Counts (Hundreds+) "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." - Aristotle My Juice: http://video.birdcat.com/djlist.txt (in reply to LivinLarge) |

"Although I do understand the benefits of downloads for DJ and the customer base, please consider keeping DVD options alive. " I second that. While the download concept sounds great I do hope DJ will continue to offer the option to purchase via DVD as well. Hugs, Stephanie (in reply to birdcat) |

The way I see it, I think the 3 best possible scenarios would be: 1] To release a limited physical edition first and when it's gone, convert that immediately into single downloads instead of 'No longer available' OR, 2] Release single items online first [as downloads] and after a certain number of them are out, compile them in a physical volume with a limited production run. Based on DH's comments I think this is the direction to follow, because releasing them online first will alleviate the burden of waiting so long for a whole volume to be completed. In addition, I think some of us will end up buying both thus creating a healthier revenue stream. The stock photography industry is currently using this model. You buy the CDs online as downloads for $599 [average] but if you want the physical copy they will ship it to you for an extra $25. Then, there's option #3...The subscription model. 3] With option 3, you would get access to all the juice you need for a monthly fee. or a year. With one single string attached. You can download a certain amount of content a day, or a week or a month. This is because Juice content is bandwidth hungry and it would be logistically very challenging to get a lot of people downloading content so big at all times. Almost needless to say, a subscription based model is captive and steady revenue. New releases can come out as single downloads first and be included as part of the subscription model after 30, 60 or 90 days, just like movies come out in the theater first and then go to DVD. Last I heard, Movie theaters are still doing good business and Blockbuster and Netflix remain healthy, all three with the same product...just marketed at different times and mediums. Or, I would go for a combination of ALL OF THE ABOVE. I can't help myself, I'm hooked on DJ. I don't know if i agree Bill. I don't expect to become a major contributor to expensive downloads that have no physical product line. Frankly, i am sorry to hear Dave say that JB's, JD's, etc.. are all going away as we know them. Frankly, even though i consider myself technological, i am really not for downloads as an individual product. Seems to me, if you read between the lines of his last post, the downloads will be much more expensive and no physical product except for ETK pro, stacktraxx and theme kits. I for one wish DH would change his mind about that direction. _____________________________ Paul D, Rainmaker Business Success Enterprises http://www.BusinessSuccessEnterprises.com Bedrock Alliance Group, Inc http://www.BedrockAllianceGroup.com "To Get What We've Never Had, We Must Do What We've Never Done!" Hello All, I too, like some of you prefer to have "physical" products in hand. I have been trying to purchase Juice Drops #61 & #65 but they now No Longer Sold. Is Digital Juice planning on putting a limited quantity posting for Juice Drops? I really really really would like to get these two volumes still and I would hope that Digital Juice brings back some items for a "limited time" Downloading products will not be an option for me. I too am limited on space and having products on DVD/CD's is a better way for me to manage my dwindling hard-drive space. I hope that Digital Juice considers keeping actual products instead of going just digital. The phsyical thing is like "insurance" for our Digital Juice products. Thanks for reading this! For those of us with decent internet bandwidth DJ might consider making the downloads .iso files. Convert all of the current lines to .iso files and charge the same, or less, for the product. This way we can burn our own dvds and DJ doesn't have to worry about packaging and shipping. Granted the downloads are large, but if you do them during off peak hours they won't take as long. This way we still get our juice and DJ only has to store the files in one place. Just a thought. As for the downloads, I would rather have physical media in hand.
