Hello All I'm new to DJ and I'm having a big problem with Juicer 3 crashing my OS at render. Has anyone else had or have this issue ? How did you resolve the problem ? Strike my last reply .... Even after up-dating to the latest build of the Juicer software, it is still crashing my OS when I render. Does anybody have a clue how I can fix this issues ? Hi James, Please try shifting the render mode to Software. Juicer 3 Menu-->Preferences-->General-->Mode-->Render mode Also, is it one particular clip/DVD which is causing issues ? Try copying the requisite clip directly off the DVD to your hard drive and see if there are any errors during the process. Thanks. < Message edited by Anil N -- 9/22/2008 5:05:13 AM > _____________________________ Anil Juicer Dev Team Digital Juice (in reply to JustaDude) |

Thank you for the reply .. The issue is with the Jump Backs, One thought I had last night about the issue is , This is a new IMac and I have yet to up-grade the RAM, for now it has 1G. I have noticed if I only render say three Jump Backs all if fine but, if I attempt to render say seven it crashes my operating system. I'll be up-grading the RAM to 4G in the near future so I'll see if that resolves the issue or not. I have been copying the Jump Backs from the DVD with Stream Clip. I may continue to do so simply cause I need the clips exported to .DV , for importing into FCE. I have learned that Juicer will only export in .mov , this forces me to render the clip with-in FCE as where .DV does not, well most of the time, I have also found that when exporting to 720x480 (NTSC ) , that the aspect ratios do not match when imported into FCE, FCE does not see the DJ clip with a width of 720. when this happens I then have to increase the size of the clip and render. I have not noticed if this is happening with just a particular clip or DVD, I'll pay more attention and see if that is the case. Thanks again James _____________________________ 24" Imac- 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo- Leopard 10.5.6 3 GB RAM Final Cut Express 4.0.1 Juicer 3.2 Build 113 (in reply to Anil N) |
