I have been asked to do a video for a graduation. When I search for "graduation" in Juicer, it tells me I need THK 109. However, it says thumbnails are not avaialable and I can't find THK 109 on the website. Does this mean it has not been released yet? I need to know if I should just wait a while for it or if I need to go ahead and find something else.

OK, thanks David. Just wanted to make sure I didn't have a technical problem or had overlooked something.

I found previews for THK109 in the Juicer in early January. I've been waiting since then to get those graduation animations. Now I see that the only way to get them is to buy the huge editor's toolbox. I'm sure that's a great product, but I have been asking about the product that the Juicer showed as a Theme Kit. I am really disapointed. Just a little more explanation when I was asking questions would have been helpful. Now I've waited all this time and won't be able to get ThemeKit 109 because the individual sets will not be sold separately.

It will probably be available eventually by itself.

My guess is it will be a downloadable product at some point.

I hope so. Making them available to people who want to buy them makes pretty good sense to me. (Of course, even that will be too late for me to use in the graduation video I am working on right now.)

It is in the Editor's Toolkit.

Jim, isn't that a product that is no longer available? The bottom line is I cannot get THK109 without buying an entire library of video stuff. That is disappointing since I have waited so patiently for it. I will just have to settle for the mediocre graduation animations I can find from other companies. I wish I could show our school the quality product I would have received from DJ.

Patience. I would bet once the Toolkit craze ends, these things will become available. It would be nutty to not offer them as individual Theme Kits. Of course, this my opinion..... _____________________________ Jim "It is fun doing the impossible" Quote from Walt Disney (in reply to Bro Pepper) |

Thanks. I'm sure you're right. Maybe I will have an opportunity to do another graduation video in a year or two and will be able to get the THK by then. I'll just make do for this year.

quote: I agree. It would love to have the whole box, but sadly my tax refund is gone. After reading through some of the other forums I suspect that I have offended some of the good folks in the DJ community. If that is the case, I submit my humblest apologies. I never intended to be unfairly critical of Digital Juice or the new Toolbox. I was only trying to express my disappointment in waiting for a specific Themekit for a couple of months only to find out that Themekit was not released in the way I expected. Perhaps in my haste I overstated my case. I do appreciate the replies suggesting that Themekit 109 may be available later. I will continue to watch for it. I think the Toolbox is a wonderful product and will be a great investment for a lot of people. For the record, I never whined or complained about the price of the Toolbox. I am very impressed with all of the quality products customers can get for that price. It looks like a great deal. _____________________________ John Crowder JLA Productions (in reply to jkhorton) |

I, too, have been waiting for years for a graduation theme kit. Hopefully before graduation time this year!

kevin, welcome to the DJ community. Really glad you are here. I rather doubt (and hope) that the graduation themekit will come out before graduation this year. I could be wrong, but being part of the toolbox will delay its individual debut. (Frankly, i hope that they don't release them as actual solid dvd products) but only as downloads, if they release them at all. Yes, i bought the enitire toolbox, and do think it was well worth the dollars. I also believe that if one can't afford the toolbox, i am sorry, but life never promised us the right to have everything in life, no matter what. I believe, against the opinions of many, that some things should be offered and then disappear. Makes the toolbox super important and means if you don't buy it, you lose out. Makes such themekits much more valuable and less competitive. Won't be a popular viewpoint, but one DJ should consider nonetheless. Just my $0.02. _____________________________ Paul D, Rainmaker Business Success Enterprises http://www.BusinessSuccessEnterprises.com Bedrock Alliance Group, Inc http://www.BedrockAllianceGroup.com "To Get What We've Never Had, We Must Do What We've Never Done!" This is unrelated to the original post, but does pertain to Themekit 109. Is it my imagination or does THEME_109_HD_JuiceDrop3.psd have some quality issues? Same issue with the corresponding .png file. Basically the big hat on the right has poor quality edges and shows blocking type artifacts on its surface. The big hat in the middle seems to have poor antialiasing along the edge. There are other issues with it too - it almost looks like a low res screen capture that has been upconverted. The other two Juicedrops from THK_109 are fine.
