What I am doing is using a jumpback and logo in the middle and putting it on a dvd. What I want is that track to keep looping over and over is there a special method I have to do to do this ?

Skythe, welcome to the forums.

Looping a piece of video on a DVD can easily be done with the proper authoring software.
Most software has a check box that says 'loop forever' or something similar.

I did make one DVD in a really basic authoring software that did not have this check box.
The way I did it was making the video a background for a menu.   There were no menu items so it just sat there and looped forever which is usually the default for a menu background.

What authoring software are you using?

Hi Skythe,

If you are using Premier Pro Go to File > export to encore choose direct burn without menus tick box loop playback.
I have done this several times and works well if you do not need a menu

Do You have Adobe Encore (DVD authoring)? If you don't you will not  get the option I described above

Yeah I just saw that from above see no signs of being installed trying to get it fixed now thanks again for all the help :), One more quick question. The jumpbacks I am Using are the HD.mov ones and them seem to be a bit laggy, not really that smooth. By chance is it me or might i possibly not have the right settings for my project ?

HI Skythe,

I have premier cs2 and cs3 , I have just checked CS2 and it doesn't give the export > Encore option with Encore installed on the computer

CS3 has this option.

If you have CS2 Premier I would do as MIchael suggested and use the menu to loop forever

Look in help under loop or Controlling menu display time and looping.

good luck

Donna

Its CS3, and will make sure to do that. Again I would like to thank you all for the help trying to get some logos done for a big fittness program in Texas. Just wandering why the jumpbacks seem a little jumpy in adobe premier.

Laggy clips did you change the frame rate

right click on video clip > interpret footage
Change frame rate > Assume this frame rate
I use 25 Frames as I am in Australia

see if that helps

I love it when you play rough .... only kidding...and btw, some really really good tips in the above posts...thank you for posting it... i only hit into Encore maybe every 3 or 4 months, and just when I think I'm fresh, I've already gone rusty! So much appreciated.  The totally un- PC comments are from a different thread, I think you figured that already .
