Hey DJ folks. The website is great and easy to navigate. However, when there are specials or sales and I'm buying a lot of items it get's to be a bit of hassle to me figure out what items i need and what I have already. I know that I can go into my account and look at "my products", that is actually what i do currently. Doing that is just a little slow as i have to go in and write down or print the items i have (the JD, for example) then go back to the product page and pick out the ones I need.

What I propose would be relatively simple and extremely helpful for those of us who own a lot of DJ products. The idea is that there could be a glowing dot or check or something on the product page and the product listing page to indicate that I have already purchased the item. This way when I get the "specials" email I can click on what I want right away and navigate through to add what I need to complete my collection instead of having to do all the research.

I don't know about others, but I'm an impulse buyer so the longer it takes me to do something the less likely I am to finish the purchase. Maybe it's just me

Obviously the shopper would need to be logged in to make use of the feature. Let me know if you think this might be worth exploring but need me to explain myself better, I'd be happy to!

I was thinking the same thing.  Once logged in to the website when I browse products it would be really nice if I have a icon to show I own the product.

Lisa, the way I do the check when I make a purchase is by having the Jucier open and have it show only products I own.  This way you narrow in on the product family - say Swipes - and you get a sorted list of items you own.

Other option is 'my produtcs' list from your account - will give you everyting  you ordered sorted by the product family.

Going thru the order history is way too much work to get the same info.

An easy solution is to do what I did.... buy just about EVERYTHING and anytime there is something new you already know hey I do not own that...

I had an excel spreadsheet I use to track what I have and do not have... but right now I think I pretty much own darn near everything (at least about 90% of the whole collection)

Having a "You have not purchased this" feature is a cool idea, but there are a lot of things to consider and some potential issues.  Sometimes new versions come out under a different productid, multiple products are embedded on the same product page.  Additionally, you could have purchased a item offline, from a reseller or under a different user account.

We will consider the suggestion for the future.

JP, it has been mentioned in the past that the ability to add products to the My Products page would be added.  This would solve a lot of those concerns because people could go out and manually add things they've gotten through other methods or won in a contest.  As far as the product IDs changing, I don't really get that one, unless it has changed media like BackTraxx did, I don't really see the point, but it seems like a solution is that you could have a cross reference table in your DB that would compare any PID that has been associated to a different product.

Certainly not a huge deal either way, but I know it can come in handy.

I'll add another request: have a search capability on the order history page. I'm trying to find my order that contains Editor's Toolkit 1 and it's taking me forever to go through them one at a time.

I'd have to agree with Brett and my situation is about the same. I own pretty much everything, but I too use to wish for a feature as what has been requested. Good idea, but maybe hard to put into place.
