I really enjoyed the opening to Juno http://shadowplaystudio.com/juno/index.html
similar backgrounds and colours, overlays, speech bubbles, cut out clouds and trees with a small amount of animation.
Not to much animation overall. I also like the outline skecth of the shop changing face in the middle and the  last clip  of the boy on the skateboard.

 HI Rhonda,
Yes I have looked into Toon It , I think it is a bit expensive, I should of bought it when DJ had it on sale. I am doing a project now inspired by Juno. I am trying to draw the backgrounds and then use creative cows tutorial http://www.howcast.com/videos/154980-Creating-the-Juno-Opening-Credits-Look-Creative-COW

Here is one for FREE:

I don't think it is quite as good as Toon It, but great for free.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for the cartoon link, I went  and shot some footage today and all is looking good with the cartoon effect, I also added some Juice drops in looks OK so far. I used the outline sketch of a skater , two old people on a bench and a bus so far from "People EDGE' # 13. I will do the main actor with the Creative cow tutorial ( link above) it could look to busy but I will give it a go.
