Howdy, I've recently purchased your SoundFX 2 package and everything seemed to have been fine until today. I'm just now needing to render something off a disk I haven't yet even needed yet (#9) and for some reason Juicer isn't able to render out the one file. It just hangs there indefinately, so after 5-10 minutes I decided to cancel it and atleast render out files on other disks. Well, the cancel button didn't seem to do anything, so I simply attempted to eject the disk by physically pressing the button on the front bezel of the dvd drive. This finally got the systems attention and it popped up an alert "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive D." I did, figuring a second attempt would sometimes load and situate the disk better. No go. Eject the disk and get the same popup. Now, I really want to move on and skip this disk, but I cannot cancel out of this popup alert window, it basically doesn't want to give up the idea of any other task. I've tried to insert a different disk in with the hope that it would give me the option to try rendering files from this disk or atleast a different disk. Anyways, it is in loop, and I've a feeling that I need to force quit this application, now losing my selections in the render que that I still need to render. Please consider somehow addressing a failsafe way to get Juicer to abort and allow the user to re-adjust the file que. thanx, my two-cents |

Hey wheat, once you are finally out of juicer you might try to access that disk/file in explorer. The problem might be with the disk, not with juicer. As a work around, you can by pass the juicer render and take the wav files straight off the disks. They'll be the full 96k files but at least you can work with them. _____________________________ Sam (in reply to wheat) |

Thanx for the mucho fast response there AdrenalineMP. Yes explorer seems to work fine, although, I no longer recall what the specific file number was that was being attempted, that particular file still could be corrupt I suppose. My render que was kinda large and I lost track of my selects from not being able to abort the 'problem' disk. SO, I guess the lesson learned is to render out in smaller chunks so I can easily recollect the files in the event that were to occur again. Thanx again. w

Yes, saving the batch list would be a good safety precaution. Also, play around with your render mode. Under preferences there is a section where you can choose between hardware, software, and advanced software beta render modes. Pretty sure you have to close juicer after changing the mode to complete the change but, you may have better success with a different mode than what you are currently using. _____________________________ Sam (in reply to media_explosion) |

I am not sure how to fix the problem, but this is what I would do: - always save the batch before any rendering (better safe than sorry) - drag the file from the Digital Juice discs if you can remember which one it is. - try reinstalling the newest version of the Juicer, but make sure you download the file to your desktop, then install it from there. The re-install might fix the problem. Sometimes I have installed from within the Juicer (update) and it didn't work right, so I downloaded the newest Juicer from this site, and then installed it from my desktop. That usually fixed any glitches I had in the Juicer. _____________________________ www.JGJMedia.com Jerry@JGJMedia.com www.Lthrboots.com Jerry@Lthrboots.com www.JerryGJones.com Jerry@JerryGJones.com -------------------------------------- (in reply to AdrenalineMP) |
