My copy of the new Final Cut Studio is on the way, but in looking at the new alpha transitions description on Apple's web site I had a thought. The new alpha transitions have wells in which you just drop a video, alpha matte, and a matte wipe. I wonder if we would be able to use double-alpha DJ Swipes with this feature??? I love Swipes, but if they would work with this feature, it would seem to avoid the whole multi-step, multi-track overlapping needed to use Swipes. All that would be handled automatically by Final Cut. Anybody tried this yet???
