We are working on planning the next 10 volumes of stacktraxx and your input is important to us. What do we need to cover? More importantly what would you BUY? Both questions are valid but slightly different. For instance you may think we need to cover Polka but you'd never buy it, but you figure someone would want it and as part of a complete music selection StackTraxx would need to eventually cover it.

Latinstaxx for sure. Maybe a worshipstaxx (Cover of some popular hymns). Sultrystaxx, a collection of romantic saxaphone style music would be handy for those doing love themed peices for weddings, anniversarys, etc.

I think that the one ST that we would like to see is from one of the most requested topics. How about some sort of worship ST. Something along the lines of contemporary and gospel mixes.

What about JazzStaxx and or BluesStaxx. That type of music is always great for background audio elements, and I think a lot of people would be interested in it.

Somewhere in another thread someone talked about a ShortStacks or LoopStacks. I liked that idea. I also like all the ideas posted above too. < Message edited by MrENGLISHâ„¢ -- 7/15/2006 4:51:55 PM > _____________________________ this message was brought to you by MrE™ WARNING: may contain Sarcasm and/or Bad Spelling (in reply to JasonGaines) |

We are putting the finishing touches on volume 16 which will be "Lighter Touch Stacks" or "Light Touch Stacks" this is another softer volume where we took some great piano and accoustic music we had and put them together. I sat down with Jeff the other day to brainstorm on it. But Viv will put his final stamp of approval on it and hopefully we will get that out in August. (in reply to Matt) |

quote: i REALLY like the idea of LoopStaxx. My reason for that is this...Adobe Audition...I use it regularly to remix my Staxx...But one of the things that i LOVED about Audition are the loops that come with the software...I'm actually in the process of taking some of those elements and mixing them with StackTraxx to make a TRULY customizable song that will be hard to replicate without those loops. It's taking some time, but WELL worth it...now if only DJ would have their own loops that I can use and switch from Adobe to Juicey...hmm......

Does audition use loops in the same way as acid? I don't think this is necessarily a StackTraxx product but perhaps loops is something Juice should consider getting into? How many volumes does Sony have?

There was talk on the chat the other night about sonicfire pro. (smart sounds) How you can change the length of the songs and they end perfectly. You don't always get the result you are looking for, and you can't customize, but we all liked the idea. if you could somehow merge that idea into the stack traxx or into the juicer you would have a winner. _____________________________ mattjanowsky.com (in reply to David Hebel) |

Look at the core features http://www.smartsound.com/sonicfire/index.html If you could do that with the juicer and the stack trax, Changing duration and have it end nicely. But still be able to have all the layers that you can customize as you wish, that would be a truely amazing product. I used smart sounds a few times, it came bundled with premiere, the problem I had with it was, there was no real customization except for duration, and when you changed duration you just got what it made, sometimes it wouldn't fit my needs. There also wasn't a huge variety of sounds. I stopped using it. But I always did like the idea or concept of some of its features. _____________________________ mattjanowsky.com (in reply to Matt) |

What I would buy - a volume for sports, that is not the hard core grunge type or whatever it's called. Something more network oriented and not necessarily aimed at sixteen year olds. I know it's harder to write, but music can be powerful, have heavy edit points, and be emotional, without sounding like the X-games. Easy guys - I also use the "other" stuff already, I'm just looking for alternatives. (in reply to David Hebel) |

For a while I was a big fan of the Sonicfire Smartsound feature where you can set the duration of the song. Not anymore. I just my do own fading, cross-fading, mix to end it when it needs to. My point: Keep the layered stacktraxx coming... < Message edited by mediatvguy -- 7/17/2006 10:35:26 AM > _____________________________ Work: Mac OS-X/10.4.11 Dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5 2 GB SDRAM (2) 500GB HDD GeForce 6600 - 256MB Home: iMac OS-X/10.4.11 Intel 2.0 Core Duo 2 GB DRAM 1- 250GB HDD 1 - 1 TB (Lacie Ext. Holiday staxx 2: cover the other holidays, including patriotic type (Memorial day/July 4th/ Veteran's day, etc.), halloween, New Years Eve, and the like. I like Graham's idea of Romantic Staxx - valentine's day, anniversary, engagement, wedding, etc. (in reply to damadman) |

I guess I'm in the minority here but I'm always looking for very slow, emotional music. The type used for funeral slideshows, family biographys, documantaries and other types of events where highlight videos are done. I mean the type of music that tugs at your heartstrings and brings a few tears. It can be a few instruments or a full orchestra. There are no StackTraxx like that now and it would be incredible to be able to use the layers for a true emotional effect. Even StackTraxx 15 is too fast. Anyway, that's my vote.

Religious/Gospel would be a great set. Just to point out , I have spent a lot of time seaching music libraries for gospel hymns to use with funeral/memorial videos and there is little to choose from. Something with the old gospel tunes would work for many jobs and projects. Another set would be (the above mentioned) patriotic slection. You know, America, America the Beatiful, Star Spangled, God Bless America, etc. These wouild be a plus for both holidays like July 4, etc., but also work for political spots, memorial videos of soilders, etc. November is just around the corner, hint, hint. And in case you still have room on your list for more. A nice set of the old masters top compositions. (Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Tchaikovsky, etc.). These tunes come in handy for a little bit of everything. (in reply to Shannon Berry) |

I'd buy more more corporate/newsroom/broadcast/commercial background type stacktraxx myself.... I also almost never need the full versions, usually 60 seconds is long enough. Of all the STX I own, which is 1-6, 7, and 10-15, I find myself using ones from V10, 12 the most. "mystique" 60 second from V15 is terrific too. One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet, but one that I would almost die for, is a Stack with vocals. Knowing that would be a really hard deal to come up with say a Stack traxx of great quality music that had great lyrics too. The best part would be to have the ability to turn off the vocals and then have just the music. I've been meaning to drop this suggestion for awhile and again I am sure it would be one of the hardest things you've done so far. But look at how many people want to use the pre-recorded music of the big stars! Why? Because it's good stuff! When you have the right words to mold with the right video or photo you can't miss. I've had the opportunity to legally use a couple of songs for non profit videos and it makes the video. So that's my challenge. Make a Stack that has lyrics! Any kind of Staxx is good and the best part is the ability to split the trax and bring them into Acid or Audition and them mix with other stuff, drop what you don't like, add what you do. Stack Traxx has change my abillity to put the right music where I need it and that's why I now own them all! < Message edited by tech203 -- 8/17/2006 3:02:47 PM > _____________________________ Matthew Watkins Aurora IL (in reply to Zacbray) |

I'd like to see more news related StackTraxx that come in sets, each having the same distinct, identifiable logo (a set of distinctive notes) in the notes. Then, each set would have variations of the theme that still contain the logo ... for example a softer version for morning or talk shows, a hard-hitting version for breaking news or investigative reports, a patriotic version for elections, etc. < Message edited by clearhill -- 8/17/2006 7:11:41 PM > _____________________________ Michael P. I saw it mentioned here in the beginning, but I want to emphasize it, and plead for it! Worship Traxx Hymn Traxx (This might be easier because of copywrite laws) I feel that many churches would respond to this one. There is a need for modern, contemporary instrumental traxx for background at the church. I would like to see some fast paced, and others on the disc that were emotionally charged so when I do a call to accept Christ, they would be adding to it in the background. I have begun a ministry for reaching Gen X people and professionals. (www.liferevelations.com) I am building the presentations and have purchased almost 1/2 of the items you have in production currently. But the one I want most is one volume, maybe more, of spiritual minded traxx. _____________________________ Dean Waterman Life Revelations; The Gospel for Today's Generation (in reply to David Hebel) |

I would like to hear more acoustic rock stuff, not hard edge, but more alternative rock with acoustic guitar and slight electric rythm. Something that would be not very intrusive, no heavy lead guitar, just very rythmic, upbeat and at home in a hospital spot or something of the like. both upbeat and medium tempo, Generally warm and positive. I find these types of music really have a home in many production styles. ken, I like "mystique" too...
