Hello,

Can anyone please help me, I enter text in my final cut pro and while looking at it, it looks fine, but playing or rendered play, the text quality is very low.
Text is blurry. I try different colors, Boros 3D Text, regular text, but everything is the same, the text comes out to be blurry, and nothing is helping.

Can any1 please let me know what to do?

Thanks
DigitalGuard

What is the codec setting in FCP? Have you tried to export the video to see what it looks like? You shouldn't use the canvas in FCP to judge the quality of the video.

Go to Sequence settings and change the codec to animation or motion jpeg and render. Does it fix it? If it does, you are using the wrong codec setting within the sequence.

Those two codecs I mentioned may not be the ones you want to use, but you might want to experiment a bit with different codecs on your footage, text, graphics, photos, etc. Depending on what you are rendering, the codec settings will have an impact on final output.

Your sequence settings should always match the video codec.

Hi DigitalGuard,

FCP de-interlaces the content when played back, so you would need to render the content as progressive to get the right output.
*a tip from our in-house experts*
Please follow the steps shown.

Hope this helps.

After having set the field dominance within the sequence settings, the output settings needs to also be the same.

Please try and let us know.

Are you going to DVD and do you have an external monitor hooked up? Don't judge your work on a computer monitor.

Are you viewing the animation within Quicktime?
As here you need to set "Use High Quality Video settings when available", please set this option within Quicktime Preferences.

This may help.

Another thing to check is the location of the text on the frame

make sure the ORIGIN (located in the text adjustment tab) is set to a whole number not a decimal point number (1 VS 1.1)
as well make sure you remove any adjustments in the motion tab and do them in the text tab instead
