I'm getting a QTCF.dll missing error when trying to run in Win7 64-bit. QT 7 is installed.

What won't, your juicer? I'm getting ready to build a drive with 7 myself.

quote: Yes. I can't get the latest version of Juicer 3 to run in Win7 64-bit. It comes up with an error that says "QTCF.dll is missing or corrupt". This is a Quicktime file and I had just installed the latest version of Quicktime prior to installing Juicer 3. (in reply to Tony V) |

Sorry, the exact error message is as follows: main.exe - System Error The program can't start because QTCF.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. (in reply to Webshark2000) |

Can you run Quicktime? Do a Google search for QTCF.DLL and you will see a ton of hits. Look for the one with Windows 7 and QTCH.DLL. I doubt this is a Juicer problem. It look like a QT installation issue. Good Luck. < Message edited by windhamjim -- 1/4/2010 2:05:47 PM > _____________________________ Jim "It is fun doing the impossible" Quote from Walt Disney (in reply to Webshark2000) |

Since 64-bit Vista and 64-bit Windows 7 put all 32-bit applications inside the Program Files (x86) folder rather than the standard Program Files folder (which is where they install 64-bit applications), I took a guess that Digital Juice was looking for Quicktime inside C:\Program Files\ rather than C:\Program Files (x86)\ So I copied the Quicktime folder from the Program Files (x86) folder and just pasted the contents into the Program Files folder and this seems to have fixed the problem. Ok, that is pretty interesting since I am running Win7-64 bit and I DO NOT have a Quicktime folder in C:\Program Files\. I do have a Quicktime folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\. I am running the latest version of the Juicer. There must be something else to this issue. I did a clean install of Win 7 which should put the Juicer and QT in their proper places. Webshark: Did you do a clean install or an upgrade install? Just wondering what else could be making the difference? _____________________________ ConsultingByJeff Jeff Goldberg, MCSE, MCT, A+ VTX HD ETKP 4,11,12,16-20 THM 3-17,25-28,84,106,107 MDE 1-10,16-19,21,26 SWP,JB,JD,ETK,STX,SFX,VTX,PDE:ALL PKO,Canv,TT1-4,JDC1-3 Win7 x64 16GB Core i7 Vegas Pro x64 Canon A1S (in reply to mptribe) |

I have the same issue, I have a Dell XPS SX8000-2361 running Windows 7 64 bit, I7 processor. My graphics card is Nvidia GTS GeForce 240. Juicer will not open (it did before). I had the dvd drive replaced not sure if that has anything to do with it. The Digital Juice site says this is almost always an incompatable Graphics card. I don't know that much about what happens in the computer, i'm pretty much grean in that area. To this date I have to run juicer in my old XP computer. Any body have any ideas.

I built my own system which is a core i7 920 and have windows 7 64 bit with 12 gigs ram and nvidia quadro 1800fx video card. I have had no problems with quicktime. I can only recommend uninstalling QT and reinstall to see if that helps. I would then reinstall the juicer 363.200 version and see if that helps. Make sure your video card has the latest driver. Then Pray. Windows 7 does have an xp mode if you have the pro version or higher which may work for you. I have MDT 1 and 3 installed and they run perfect so far. I copied all the disc of MDT 1 to a hard drive for quick access. I wish they would sell these installed on a hard drive with an activation number. I hated the long install on MDT 3.

Hello, I am my days trying to solve this problem and I can not. The problem is this, I downloaded the installation of the juicer 3.89 for PC and also installing the latest version of quicktime from apple site. Both installed smoothly, but when you open the juicer, there is a warning that I do not have quicktime, stating that I need to install a version greater than or equal to 7.6 ... and I already own. Someone please help there, I've done all the procedures I found on the Internet including many here and nothing worked. My machine has all the requirements needed to run such applications (in reply to Evanol) |

Have you tried to install both apps (Juicer and Qucktime) using the Administrator account?

Just a thought: The Juicer is a 32-bit program and uses the 32-bit version of Quicktime. Apple has Quicktime 32-bit and 64-bit. I am guessing that a 64-bit Win 7 PC gets the 64-bit version of Quicktime when you need the 32-bit version. Maybe somebody could try installing the 32-bit Quicktime to see if that makes a difference?
