Yeah, that thought has passed my mind... have to research the search engine implications of that ... also, we try to only use flash for product galleries and banners (that have images if no flash) _____________________________ JP Shook Director of Internet Development Digital Juice, Inc. Actually I thought the counter for the specials was looking like a random number generator also, but after further review it is changing because the contents of the special box changes. A different number for each special that has a limited number of copies available. john _____________________________ J2D:184 JB 1-38 JBHD 1-20 ETK 1-10 MDE 1-20 SW 1-10 VT 1-3 SFX 1-2 ST 1-21 BT 1-2 JD 1-52 DJTV S1 PTK 1 DJ 2.0 Swigglez (in reply to JP Shook) |

While working on both my Mac & PC today I noticed that the nav bar was different between FireFox and Safari on my Mac and IE on my PC. The new popup for the products is not on FF or Safari. They have the old nav bar. What's up with that? I will try to include a pic. Will it work, I don't know. john Thumbnail Image Attachment (1)

Nope, clearing the cache does not change anything. john _____________________________ J2D:184 JB 1-38 JBHD 1-20 ETK 1-10 MDE 1-20 SW 1-10 VT 1-3 SFX 1-2 ST 1-21 BT 1-2 JD 1-52 DJTV S1 PTK 1 DJ 2.0 Swigglez (in reply to Graham) |

Nope, installed Flash 9 for OSX and still get the old nav bars in both FireFox and Safari. Cleared the cache in both also. This is very strange. UPDATE OK, it appears that the flash popup only appears in the nav bar when in the forum. This is for both FireFox and Safari. On all other pages, the flash popup is non-existent. john < Message edited by John Carothers -- 7/23/2006 1:42:03 AM > _____________________________ J2D:184 JB 1-38 JBHD 1-20 ETK 1-10 MDE 1-20 SW 1-10 VT 1-3 SFX 1-2 ST 1-21 BT 1-2 JD 1-52 DJTV S1 PTK 1 DJ 2.0 Swigglez (in reply to John Carothers) |

Here is the low-down: 1. The forum nav (at this time) is separate from the primary nav because it is stored in a database and must be updated separately from the main site nav. 2. Since Mac browsers like to cause problems when the nav is over the flash banners, it looks like we will have to disable the fancy banner for Mac browsers altogether. My JavaScript flash gurus are doing everything possible to make it work for as many browsers as possible, but if they won't behave we have to downgrade so that you get at the very least a usable menu regardless of browser.
