Hi everyone, I'm currently around 2months old using DJ prod with a few months editing experience as well. I'm using FCP 7 and trying to add some swipes (fullscreen swipes) seen in EDT10 & 1 but can't seem to figure out how to add it to my FCP sequence. I've checked the DJ site (checked the following tutorial - http://www.digitaljuice.com/dj_training/detail.asp?sid=243 + others) but can't seem to get my transition to work. It currently plays like a normal movie in the sequence :(
Any help pls?? - thanks
1.L.P.

You need to put it in a layer above your current timeline.

Thanks Damon, Tried that and I still get my swipe jumping in as a separate video rather than a swipe...

Did you render it out with alpha? Also you have to line up the swipe to cover the edit points of the two clips you're swiping between. I hope that helps.
I'd check your alpha first. In Juicer make sure in your output you choose Quicktime with Alpha.

You're going to 'Superimpose' the swipe over the end point of the first clip and the beginning point of the second clip. Then you just have to move the swipe around until it lines up just right. In the Canvas Window you have your, Insert, Overwrite, Replace, Fit to Fill and Superimpose. When using Swipes, always you Superimpose, because that put the Swipe right on top of the clip on V1 track. Or what ever Track you are trying to add this action to.
