I recently bought Sony HDR-CX150 to shoot family videos for my little son. The camcorder works perfectly with the Exmor R CMOS sensor and 16GB memory to record 1080/60i AVCHD videos at FX recording mode in 24Mbps. However, when I want to upload the .m2ts files to YouTube, import to NCH VideoPad Video Editor, the .m2ts is not readable. I googled and found the fast Sony M2TS file converter - Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter, which can not only deinterlace 1080i M2TS videos and remove interlacing artifacts, but also convert M2TS to AVI for editing in NCH video editor, uploading and sharing to YouTube/Vimeo.  Have a look at the step-by-step guide below to make your M2TS videos from camcorders like Sony HDR-CX150, HDR-SR10E, HDR-SR5/SR1, Panasonic HDC-SD9 compatible with YouTube and Vimeo by converting to AVI. Step 1. Add Sony AVCHD video to Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter. After your .m2ts files are ready on computer hard drive, run the Sony M2TS file converter to import 1080i videos by clicking the "Add" button or using the drag and drop method to load .m2ts to the converter. Step 2. Choose AVI format. Click the "Format" option and choose Common Video > AVI MSMPEG4-V3 (*.avi) as output format. The Sony M2TS converter will transcode Sony CX150 1080i M2TS to AVI in original resolution like 1920x1080.  Step 3. Deinterlace 1080i Sony CX150 M2TS files. (optional) Click the "Editor" button and go to the Effect tab, you can make sure the checkbox for deinterlacing is ticked for removing the interlaces from the .m2ts fies. Step 4. Convert Sony CX150 M2TS to AVI. Click the convert button on the bottom right corner of the Sony CX150 M2TS converter, the conversion from 1080i M2TS to AVI for YouTube/Vimeo begins right away. When the conversion is done, you can easily upload and share HD family videos to YouTube and Vimeo, or import the HD videos to NCH VideoPad Video Editor for adding fade in effects. Tips: 1. If you want to get other solutions for Sony camcorders like Alpha NEX-5, DSC-TX7, HDR-CX550, XR550, XR520, HXR-NX5U, just go to the Sony camcorder column for more information. 2.
