Folks,

Forgive my ignorance on this. I've just moved across to a Macbook pro and FCP. I'm using a Sony HDR-12e camcorder which stores AVCHD files as MTS streams on a harddisk. The camera connects to the MAc via USB 2.0.

I've been trying to ingest the files following the FCP manual using Log and Transfer, the problem is;

1) The camera is just seen as a hard disk and is not detected by FCP (as discussed in the manual)
2) when I try to ingest the files directly I'm told the file structure and files are not supported.

I must be doing something really stupid ?

Can anyone help me ?

Mark
