I cannot tell you how cool it is to look at the PDF of the Canvases product. I can zip through the thing in NO TIME. How's about a PDF of the DJ Fonts showing the standard offerings for each font? It would be so much easier to leaf through and see the various alternatives (i.e. a Red, White & Blue flag-like font) that is available in a few of the font offerings. Right now, i have to open each font in Juicer and wait for several minutes for the fonts to load, then close them out and do it again for dozens of font offerings. It's just too time consuming. If I had a PDF of each offering, I could QUICKLY see the variations and go for the one I need in Juicer without wasting an hour looking for something I know I saw, but can't remember what font has the "look" I need. PDFs are the way to go for deadline burdened pros who are under the gun. THANKS!

YES!!!! I have already asked for this in the suggestion forum part and you can see it here ----> http://www.digitaljuice.com/community_forums/tm.asp?m=149143 YES, you are absolutely right, to be able to have a PDF of FONTS would really be awesome to be able tochoose quickly any of the 10 volumes fonts and browse through all of them at once and if printed the PDF you could compare each one and decide which one would look best in your project work. Juicer allows only to be view one in full size and only from one same family, can´t be compared quickly one font from one family volume product with another different one, BUT if you could be able to have a PDF of the fonts and print it, it would be really easy and fast to compare and choose any of the fonts and make it much better and faster. Also would be good to be able to have the choice to print the DJ fonts at different sizes, because some of the beautiful fonts are better seen the lovely details at a higher size. I do NOT MEAN that you can choose the size of EVERY font, NO in any way, I just suggesting that you could choose to print ALL the fonts at XL size, or L size, or S size or be able to choose the size by point size, 16, 50, 72 or whatever, OR whatever DJ thinks that it could be best and easier for them to do and would be useful. I guess we could open each font and do a screen capture of the listings, but it takes time. Plus we cannot do the doc like DJ can do the doc. The products are superior, but if it takes hours to find what you need, then it makes the product less desirable to those who really need the resources. Juicer is good, but it can be slow when it comes to browsing products (because there are so many great things to see). When I have Photoshop and a page layout program running, Juicer is very slow... and sometimes crashes. (I am not criticizing Jucer, I happen to like it when it works smoothly.) But, Juicer appears to be one of the reasons some folks are resistant to buying DJ products. Having a PDF of the offerings is simply another way to answer the objection and make a sale.

Would also be great if DJ wanted to continue to develop plug ins for AE and maybe PS so we could just type with them in our program of choice.

quote: OH YES !!!!! It would be great and amazing that you could be able to use DJFonts in other products other than exclusive on Juicer. I would surely and very happy to buy any plugin that would let you use DJFonts in Photoshop or AE, so instead of making the text in Juicer and then export it, you could have the ability to use DJFonts in some way inside Photoshop and write text typing it with DJfonts. quote: I have already tried to make this some time ago, and wanted to make it, but is really very difficult, boring and tiresome, and did not continue to make it. quote: Yes, absolutely true, The Juicer is very slow and and not so very reliable and effective as other software for font layout and writing, and as you say Juicer gets in the way and is like a bottleneck in the creative flow production, and agree that many people could be not buying DJ products BECAUSE to selecta, view and choose a product they MUST use the Juicer browser and not always is a joy to use and is slow and crashes or deletes previews or miss things misteriously. If you could have a PDF of DJFOnts and of other DJ products the creative workflow would be MUCH BETTER, even when you still needed to use Juicer, because you could be able to choose in very new way what products you already and compare them in very easy way, a thing that you CAN´T do in Juicer as you can´t compare different products side by side, and you could do it if you had a PDF of each product, even more, it would be much better to print them, and have them in row and be able to see many products AT ONCE and then be able to choose which one to use. HAVE THE ABILITY TO MAKE THE PDF catalogues and indexes OURSELVES I am NOT asking that the DJ team make a PDF index of any previous and any old DJ products as it could take much time and they surely will not want to loose time on this as they must surely be very busy in the development on new products BUT I thing the solution is to be able to have the feature in juicer so we could make ouselves the index of the DJFonts and all the DJ products that we own and have installed in Juicer, and could also choose HOW to make the index and BE ABLE TO CUSTOMIZE IT if it would be possible. I asked for that before with being able to bring them right into PP as a choice for a font. If we need to change the appearance we could still do that in the Juicer then save it, add it to the font selection. Probably a lot to it but it would be nice.

quote: I am sorry, Tony but I do not understand very well, do you mean the same as I have said above that you would like a way (or a plugin in Juicer) so you could be able to use DJFonts directly in Photoshop the same as you can choose any other fonts ? BUT without the option to customize it, as this would still be needed to use in Juicer ? If this is what you mean, I agree very much with you, it would be really lovely, wonderful and awesome that we could use the fantastic DJFonts inside Photoshop and be able to write with them directly without need to write them first in Juicer, render and export to Photoshop. Is true that you do NOT absolutely need that the plugin lets you customize or modify the DJfonts inside photoshop, and just that it would let you use them in photoshop would be really great < Message edited by SpaceRay -- 8/11/2011 4:00:23 PM > (in reply to Tony V) |

Please, is there any news about any possible way to make a PDF of the fonts, OR to make in some other possible way a list of the fonts that you have installed in Juicer ? Will this be possible in Juicer 4.0 ? Please, Please, I think that this is a VERY IMPORTANT AND USEFUL thing to have and would be very good to have printed sheets of the fonts and have the ability to see and compare many pages at once of the fonts and search quickly the best option. Please, can DAVID or anyone from DJ be so kind to tell if there is any news about this ??? This is a very important , helpful and very useful thing to use the excellent, awesome, beautiful and lovely DJ FONTS but is totally let down and bad that you can ONLY use them with Juicer 3 and I have many problems when wanting to find DJ Fonts that I want to use and takes a lot of time to find them. SO if I could have a PDF (or any other possible system to have the fonts printed and do not have to be only PDF at all) it could really be much better. (in reply to SpaceRay) |

Some time ago, I began producing such a document and am about 1/3 the way through it. I am slammed at the moment having experienced a tragic death in the immediate family, but hope to resume production in about 6 weeks. Once completed, I will post a note here and offer it freely. It will be NOTHING like DJ folks can produce, but it may be of help.
