I've twelve volumes of Stack Traxx: 15, 17, 21, 23, 25, 35, 39, 41, 42, 44, 46 and 50. I've installed them all in the Juicer. Volumes 41, 42, 44, 46 and 50 are fine. When I preview the earlier volumes, there's just a blank space where the play bar should be. Why is that and what can I do about it? Thanks, Philip < Message edited by pjpawley -- 11/13/2011 6:47:12 PM > |

I tried uninstalling and re-installing volume 17. It worked but:- 1. I still don't get a play bar (and therefore no layers either). 2. The Juicer crashed straight after the installation. I repeated the re-install four times just to be sure and, each time, the Juicer crashed. (in reply to pjpawley) |

The problem is a bug in the Juicer. The file systems on discs 1-39 is different from that on discs 40-50. When the Juicer installs a volume, it should copy over all the .stx files. Instead, it only copies over .mp3 files. The solution is to manually copy over the .stx files from the disc to your hard drive. (For some reason, the .mp3 files seem to be needed too, so don't delete anything that's already on the hard drive: just add the .stx files). (I think Digital Juice owe me something for spending half a day getting to the bottom of this). (in reply to pjpawley) |

Not so fast. I have 50 Staxtrax and I see none of the problems you describe. I use the latest Juicer and Windows 7 64-bit.

Aye, but I bet you originally installed them using an earlier version of the Juicer. (in reply to windhamjim) |

Yes. I've had them installed for quite a long time.

That'll be why the bug didn't bite you: you already had the files you need on your hard drive.

Question for Phillip: Can you turn instruments on/off in ST prior to #40 without having to insert your DVD? This one is been bugging me for quite some time....It would be nice if they finally got this working... (in reply to pjpawley) |

It might be worth just trying again. They didn't seem to work for me the first time I tried but they started working when I retried (and they've been fine every time since). (in reply to mediatvguy) |
