I been looking at this program for some time, a friend of mine had it for a short time and loved it execpt he said everytime he did anything he had to dig out a dvd to put in and it got to be more of an issue than what the program was worth.

I'm wondering if his staement was true or not, any help I'd be greatful

I assume you mean the Juicer program.
Your friend is correct in some respects and not others.
First, Juicer doesn't come with any images loaded, it is a utility program that is specifically designed for use with Digital Juice products. When you purchase DJ products, you load them into the Juicer. Some products fully load so you don't have to access the CDs, while others only load the previews, wherein you'd have to access the CDs for rendering. The best way to know if you should use Juicer is to look at all the products DJ has to offer, decide if you want to purchase any of the products and go from there. If you are serious about getting pro-level animations, still, videos, plug-ins, etc. for your still and/or video productions, DJ has a vast array of wonderful products. I highly recommend DJ. I should also note that many of the DJ products don't "require" Juicer for rendering, but it typically makes it a whole lot easier. I hope this answers your question.

I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on Digital Juice products over the past few years. I suppose if you were using DJ products as a hobby, using the Juicer and inserting individual discs might "not be worth it" for some people (though I couldn't imagine why). I know the Juicer can be a pain sometimes, but for most of us, the problems are infrequent and only minor nuisances, solved in a short time.
For me, Digital Juice has played a major role in my being able to go from doing this part time to full time, being able to leave a job I hated to do something I love.
Yeah, I'm a fan.
