I just purchased Toxic Type 6 and updated my juicer to Juicer 3.89 Build 100. Got an e-Mail confirmation that says, An activation key is not required for this product. It is handled automatically in the Juicer. However, when I install my Toxic Type 6 it gives me this message I have to provide an activation key. Which DJ did not give me any. So can anyone help me please and let me know what I am doing wrong. Thanks, MissTapya Have a great day. Thumbnail Image Attachment (1)

Reinstall Juicer sometimes gets it going. Seems any more each update just trades one issue for a different one. (in reply to misstapya) |

Hi Dink_Wink, I tried everything, from re-installing the new version of Juicer. Re-installing my ToxicType Collection 6...still nothing. I cannot even see the ToxicType 6 under Project/ and when I try to re-install it using the file menu..it asked me to input my activation key. And DJ tech/customer service indicated that TOxicType6 does not require an activation...so I am with a product that I can't use... And DJ customer service and tech does not have any solution...I guess I have to wait for another new Juicer update...sucks huh...I was so excited to use this type for our family gathering video invite...ooh well....you are right... Ok copy your existing Juicer.db file. It's C:\ProgramData\DigitalJuice\Shared in Win 7. Reinstall older juicer. Check if it's working right. If it is copy the Juicer.db file again. Install latest Juicer. Again check if it's working. If not replace db file with the older installed one that did work right. (The first save was in case the older install did not work ok you could go back to where you were.) See if it works right and correct version number shows upon Juicer launch. If not install latest again over existing one. If not delete TT6 files in the catalog folder and reinstall the set. If not I don't know what to tell you. I have found it takes multiple installs to get it to work right at times. I always save the DB file to get back to where I was on an install as it always damages that file and that tells Juicer what's installed. Restoring a good saved one and you're right where you were before you decided you needed the latest and greatest. (in reply to misstapya) |

You're not alone. :( I'm having the same problem with Toxic Type 6. I wouldn't mind having an activation code with every build I purchase (if that's the problem). (in reply to Dink_Wink) |

Ok .. thanks to you guys I got it done. Knowing I wasn't the only person was very important, so thanks mistapya. I did what Dink Wink said and deleted my juicer.db file. I uninstalled 3.89. Then I re-installed both 3.88 and 3.89 (one after the other). In retrospect, I don't think I needed to do install 3.88 again. The I installed TT6 first. Voila! It was there. Then I installed TT5. Voila! So then I installed the next one that gave me a hard time w/o the serial number (r2g 13). Again Voila! So then I went to install TT4. :: wrong answer buzzer :: I tried it again, but still it wouldn't install. So then I had it restore installed products. Success! Then I tried TT4 again (i told it to ignore previously installed items) and Voila! I have no idea what's going on, but at least I have everything I paid for. I posted all of these steps to not only try to help out those who run into this problem, but to also help out Digital Juice as they troubleshoot this. From everything I'm experiencing the Juicer and the DB aren't getting along too well at the moment. Good luck to everyone and thanks again mistapya for starting this thread AND to "The Dink! ;)" >:) (in reply to misstapya) |

Thanks for the suggestion. Saw your instructions and I know it will take me awhile to do this. I appreciate your help, however I waited for DJ to update the juicer. I got the new version and it works. Thank you Dink_Wink and DJ tech. Miss Tapya (in reply to Dink_Wink) |

Hey Juicelover...and anyone else! I have similar problem..I think... I updated to the same new juicer 3.89 ver 100, and installed my Ready2Go 3 and 4 for Sony Vegas as well as Toxic Type 4 but NONE of them show up in the product list on left and I have no previews! It says they are installed when I try to reinstall, and they are all there in catalog....so what do you suggest? Same as what you did, uninstall juicer and reinstall? Then reinstall all products again? It's weird because it shows my Animated Canvases and Textures and Editors Toolbox stuff.... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks (in reply to juicelover) |

I know this might stink. You want to get to work, but you can't because your Juicer isn't working. I think it is working? but your Juicer doesn't see what it thinks it should see. Last week when I got my new computer I was really afraid about what I was going to run into with Juicer. I did run into the problems when I installed. Some things were just not installed correctly, but I kept trying and retrying and eventually the hooks from juicer into it's db worked. Dink_Wink helped me out a lot when he shared about the db file. The db really is the most important link to getting everything to work. No matter what, don't give up. misstapya got help from support so they've probably seen this stuff before. I'm sorry you're having this trouble. For me, once I had some success, I realized it would work if I just kept trying different things. IMPORTANT: The db is really just a flat file that records what DJ software you have and don't have. Juicer is the middle man between your software and that flat file (db). If there's any weird thing going on with the db that will most likely be the source of your root cause. I hope this helps! Good luck!!!!!!!!! (in reply to Sibertiger17) |

Before I do anything I make a db file copy. I've learned over the years how important it is. I would like to know why one time you install it, it fails and the next works fine. At times I think Juicer has a mind of it's own. Make than an evil mind. (in reply to juicelover) |
