Hi Juicer Techs/Coders: It's been well over four years since this issue was brought up, and much to my amazement, the ability to properly export 1.2 DV Widescreen in AVI format has still not been corrected. I'm not sure why this has never been addressed, but it seems like it would be a simple enough fix. Could someone PLEASE address this issue for the next release. I've recently obtained a client that will have me doing a LOT of DV WS stuff, and this is a really annoying "limitation" of the Juicer that is long overdue to be fixed. Thanks! -Tim |

Can you elaborate on the issue? Juicer won't save out to the proper DV codec ? or Juicer won't save out to proper aspect ratio? (in reply to timoteo) |

Hi Dave: Thanks for your response. Actually, it's pretty well covered in the following threads:
There may be more (and many of these went unanswered), but this will give you the gist. This is the case in EDIUS, After Effects, Premiere, Vegas, Media Info, etc. DJ is incorrectly flagging the files if you export to ANY kind of AVI. It works for Quicktime export, but not AVI. Also, equally as important ... it also refuses to make it progressive, irregardless of settings (just like the pixel aspect). I think this is true even for Quicktime output. You can start from scratch, setting up a 720x480 1.2 pixel aspect, and no matter what it sets the output flag as interlaced. Hope this helps. Thanks, Tim (in reply to David Hebel) |

I am curious to see when this will be resolved as well. I use Vegas v4 and now v9 under XP, so I'm wondering if this is an issue as well. Thanks. (in reply to timoteo) |
