I appreciate what DJ has done. I understand why Juicer 4 is taking so long and why it's success is so important to DJ. But as a BUYING customer who has supported DJ through the years and wish to continue...I am growing weary of the navigation system of Juicer 3. I personally do not want Juicer 4 to be one massive product that does everything. It would be best to have a cataloging system (small and to the point) - that works and makes navigation of the product lines simple and efficient. Since the development of Juicer 4 is dependent on multiple parts - such as a video editor and everything else. It's held up and confused the work flow of past and current customers. Please break it up and release a cataloging system that will show me all my DJ purchases in one place. I need something quick, that is easy to work with. I will always stick with my main editing software (Adobe). Unfortunately, I can not easily tell what I have from DJ due to the fact some products are showing up in Juicer 3 and some are not. Even the latest products are not showing up in a orderly way that is conducive to efficient work flows. DJ has done an awesome job with providing booklets, PDFs and such. But I still think each portion should be a separate extension of the main catalog system and not have everything tied up in one massive program. I respectfully request the release of a DJ suite. Open the Juicer 4 catalog feature, sooner than later, please. |

If it's in beta and no provisions for older products it's a long time away from being out. I'm just tired of pdf files instead of a searchable visual list. At the least they need to change their Juicer info on their web site to "it supports some of the products some of the time" and not the it supports ALL DJ products. quote: (in reply to Blazer) |

Adobe has a fix for this. And at least you can use it in the interim. Lightroom.

I too need a more efficient way to just see visually what I have. I get confused as to what I have and what I don't have. And once I have more or less all the previews installed into Juicer 3, once I upgrade to new release of J3, I lost some previews and back to consed state I go. (in reply to dasmith) |

I would have to tag each preview and go through a lot of extra work for something that is supposed to be or advertised to be available via Juicer when I buy it. Isn't DJ supposed to be saving me time? Not create more things to do to use it in the manner it's claimed to be delivered in. They have an idea of how long Juicer 4 is going to take and should make the things we get now useable in Juicer 3. It's going to be a long, long time until we see Juicer 4 - if at all. As long as people are willing to put up with less than advertised they will keep on delivering it like that. (in reply to dasmith) |

I too would like to see all of my products via the juicer. Whether they be in version three or four.

My solution - once you have a JUICER that works for you and covers all your current product, save it and don't update. Then download another copy for newer products and updates till that seems bloated and start a third etc. Over the years you get everything covered, don't have to re-load after every update, don't effect your production time with update problems, etc. Works for me anyway. I still have a version two working along with others. ![]() ![]()

quote: Thank you for your suggestion. But I rather drop another $99 on DJ content, instead of Lightroom. Although, Lightroom is an awesome addition to the toolbox. ;) Thank you all, who read and comment on this thread. Currently I am spending more time digging in directories to find products purchased. Recently I could not get the latest Toxic product to show up in Juicer 3. I finally figured it out. In Juicer3, click File -> Catalog Manager -> Drop Down box and Select Ready2Go for AE (select Toxic Templates Collection 1) and click ADD.) I am not sure why my particular installation was not showing up, but it does after I did those steps. Maybe this will help someone else. Hope so. Have a great weekend. < Message edited by Blazer -- 5/23/2012 4:04:20 AM > (in reply to dasmith) |
