I just received an email from DJ advising me that:

"In order to provide the best quality output and to match the After Effects version of Ready2Go Collections, we developed a plug-in called Remove Color Matte.
You'll need and want to install this plugin before loading and using some of the projects."

I ran this update, but am not sure whether it needs to be run everytime I use a R2G project or not. Can someone give a little better (more detailed) description of how this is to be used. Does it have to be run as a stand-alone, or is it somehow accessed from within Vegas?

Secondarily, I have only been able to find the short video "commercial" touting the ease of use of R2G product in Vegas with a few limited screen shots on how to change the Video Holder for my video and the Text Holder for my text. Is there a little more detailed description of how to use the product from within the Juicer? As an example, for other DJ assets, I drag the file onto the batch list, then adjust settings and generate the output to the location I have designated. The R2G seems to jump to the same dialog box (no matter which option I select), which then outputs (not sure exactly what) to a location I can specify. I don't understand the down arrow below each R2G file and the different options (they all seem to do the same thing). Also when the R2G asset is output to my defined location, why does is generate a shortcut to each asset, which is then in another folder? It would be VERY helpful if someone that is more intimate with the working of the R2G product at DJ would generate a simple 1-2 page instruction sheet, or a PDF file with an explanation of what each command does from the Juicer and possibly how that command would be used in everyday practice. I've been a big fan (and purchaser) of DJ products, but unless I missed some help file somewhere, believe this product was rushed out without having it fully fleshed out (i.e. some sort of user manual or instructions, more than the standard generic "How to Get Started" sheet included with all orders).

Here is a Getting Started video tutorial that covers the first volume and most things are the same in subsequent volumes:
http://www.digitaljuice.com/djtv/detail.aspx?sid=591

Please not that after volume 3 we do not have color variations included. You can still make them yourself but we don't have them embedded in the product any longer.

Another video shouldbe out next week covering one of the latest volumes.

Once the Remove Color Matte plugin is installed you shouldn't need to worry about it again. If you are having issues with the plugin let us know. That was mainly needed for volume 3 which used a lot of composite studio elements.

David,

Thanks for your response. Somehow I didn't see the tutorial you flagged. It answers most of my questions, so thanks.

Part of my frustration, is I've been working on a project for our high school lacrosse teams (Junior Varsity and Varsity). I used the R2G Vol. 5 "Empty Room" HD segments for the Varsity and had no problem. I used the R2G Vol. 6 "Center Ring" HD and have had nothing but problems. After about 15 segments have been added to the project, I get alternating elements of some of the segments that don't display (usually the video layer), then they start to show up as solid red on the screen and will not render, I then start to get low memory messages, then eventually my computer will lock up. I have shutdown and restarted the computer, which some of the time resolves the problem temporarily.

Is it possible that I have somehow corrupted the install of the "Center Ring" portion, and that Vol. (6) needs to be reinstalled? To avoid missing my deadline for the project, I had to end up taking screen shots of the "Center Ring" segments then "pan and scan" across them to give some sense of "motion", but was not what I envisioned.
