I was very impressed with the response everyone gave in the thread below... All Forums >> [General Questions & Technical Support] >> Ask Digital Juice >> Shaking Hands photo or artwork The user needed a photo and Juicers helped to find it from another website. What if no one had been monitoring the chat that knew where to go? DJ already has a library of material... And there is a market for this stuff since you can no longer buy ther Hemera Photo Objects (they've switched to a subscription Service.) Just a thought... _____________________________ Alway's Remember; There is No Spoon... Call Early.... Call Often |

I have some Hemera stuff, and the one thing I found dissappointing with what I have, is that the images are not all that big. They are great for web work, and maybe for small items on print stuff, but for larger items that you might need, such as this shaking of the hands, it really wasnt a good option. I have the 50,000 Images collection that comes on something like 7 CD's. There is a good collection of stuff to find, I just wish this specific package had larger images. I am not sure if they HAD a high res package or not. I paid $99 for it, so it wasnt all that bad. In that other thread, if I had remembered that DJ has images in those first ETK's I would have suggested those as well. Of course, I dont know, and maybe some who has them or a DJ staff can say, but are those images on the ETK discs of print quality? And if so, what is the avg pixel size of those if there is an average? _____________________________

There are quite a number of images on ETK 1 and 2 and in them a few shaking hands. Some are pictures and some are photo elements. As fas as print quality and such I believe they will hold up for print but son't hold me to that as I have never done such.

The ETk Photos and Photo Objects are lower resolution and work well on the Web, in presentations or in video projects, but they are marginal for most print applications. Resolutions average around 600 pixels on a side. Eric < Message edited by D. Eric Franks -- 8/2/2006 8:53:00 AM > (in reply to JasonGaines) |
