Does anyone know if digital juice editors tool kits will work with Easy Worship. Example, I would like to have an editors tool kit transition be used with Easy Worship. This maybe a question for the easy worship guys but I would just like to see if anyone here may know. Thanks!

Is Easy Worship a software? Not sure, maybe if you provide a link, someone can take a look and help a little more. Tnx, and welcome to the forums.

Hi Mark,

I went to the EasyWorship website (http://www.easyworship.com/faq.php#13) and found this

Does EasyWorship support video backgrounds? What video formats are supported?
EasyWorship can display moving video backgrounds with text overlay. EasyWorship comes with 100 backgrounds, 21 of which are video looping backgrounds. To display a song with a video background, simply select a song, select a video background and click Go Live. You can also assign a video background to a song in the database. EasyWorship will play any media format that Windows Media Player supports, including MPEG 1, MPEG 2, WMF and AVI. (The next version of EasyWorship will add .mov, Flash and .vob formats.)

The Juicer can render to AVI and Quicktime so you should be good to go  I also did a quick search in the EasyWorship forum and others are using Digital Juice products so you may want to check there to get information from people who are using both products.

If you haven't already done so, you can sign up for a free account with Digital Juice which will give you access to Free Downloads so you can try some of the products out first. Hope this helps and if not, please check back and someone will be sure to provide more assistance/clarification.

The real issue is will a transistion work or not? We use Mediashout at our church (Version 2) which I can't use a transistion to go from one clip to the next. Version 3 however is supposed to support this but we have had issues with the stability of Version 3 so we are not using it right now.

Here is what the easyworship site says...

Can EasyWorship display text over video feeds (from cameras, etc.)?
If you have a video capture card installed in a PCI slot, EasyWorship can capture video from cameras, VHS, DVD, mixers, etc. and apply video transitions affecting entrance, exit and cross fades. All of these video capture feeds can be used as backgrounds for text overlay projection

I am not sure if this means internal transistion or third party (like DJ) it would have to support alpha channels if this were the case.
Here is a link to a thread that never really resolved if this feature made it into the latest version. (2.4)

My wife is trying to get me out the door so that is all I have time to research at the moment. Hope it helps and makes sense.

Welcome markharrell

I use Easy Worship for my Church, and I use the transitions built on the software such as cross dissolve etc. you just need to go to the settings

Thanks guys for the fast reply. I should have been a little more specific. I have been using digital juice jump backs for sometime now and they work fine as back drops but the real question is will the editors tool kits transitions work with the software. I know how to use transitions in the program and import new videos, but the alpha channel jumpbacks do not work properly. I am not sure if the software supports alpha channels. So, I was wondering if any one knew or is using the transitions in easy worship. I am hoping it is just a setting that I am unaware of. Sorry for the unclearity of the question. I have a filling that the software does not support alpha, just checking! Thanks, if you have info that would help please reply. Thanks!!!

P.S.
The more that I think about it it probably will not work. The reason why I think this is because when you import a transition into premiere pro you have to put the transition on the video track above. In easy worship you do not have timelines it is just a transition that you apply to cross from one image, text, or video to another. But the question still remains will alpha channels work because the lower thirds will come in useful.

As a fellow EasyWorship user, I'll admit that this would be a great addition. Unfortunately, alpha channel support didn't make it into the 2006 version. (See http://www.easyworship.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3997&highlight=alpha   -- 3rd and 4th messages down.)

To whom it may concern, I called and talked to the easy worship guys and the new version does allow alpha channels but they have had some windows media code problems with the software. They said that the new version has fixed this problem. Now, the digital juice transitions will not work in ew due to the fact that the transitions are not linkable transitions between two video clips ( they are more like overlays). The word from the ew guys is that the next version will be even better in the transition department. Instead of the cheesy Power Point like transitions the new ew will be more broadcast like transitions ( like VideoToaster). The estimated release time is really undetermined but the word is one to two years. So, for you ew users we will have to just cool our heels for a little while til the future improvements.
