For future jumpback volumes that have a specific theme (such as All Music and Halloween), include a single matchng Tool Kit set wth an overlay, lower third and MDE. They wouldn't have to match any particular jumpback, just the overall theme. This would have been very useful in making our school's video yearbook.

While it isn't the greatest way to create a lower 3rd, you can always take one of the jumpbacks and crop it into a lower 3rd. As for the overlay and MDE, those may be somewhat harder to make. Best of luck to you!

To create L3rds out of particular jumpbacks (or any moving or still background for that purpose) you can use the alpha channel of another static or animated lowerthird (animated L3's are available in every ETK, static L3's are provided with ETK 1). Newer ETK's also provide matching lower third mattes. To create overlays in such a way you can use either the alpha channel of another overlay or the static mattes found in ETK 1 & 2. _____________________________ Michael Lt. Cmdr. And don't forget all the Mattes in ETK's 1 and 2. Reposition them to give you some instant texture to the edges of your backgrounds to create a lower third. While I think the suggestion is a very good one and would help to turn people on to other products, what you are asking for can be done in a number of ways. That being said...what about adding bonus stuff to products? Adding a Stack Traxx song to the JB volume or a JD with a Stack Traxx. I think that would be a great idea. Good suggestion Jerel. _____________________________ Fred Matthews Spot Prod. Love Worth Finding Ministry Avid Media Composer 2.7 hp workstation xw-8400 3 GB RAM AE 6.5 PS CS (in reply to MikeM) |

after reading the first reply I realized that I could just use the mattes from my toolkits with the Halloween JBs--I don't know why I didn't think of it before that--it should have been quite obvious.

Sometimes it just takes a little brain-jarring from the forum folks to point you in the right direction. I still like your idea. _____________________________ Fred Matthews Spot Prod.
