I received my DJ ETK recently , this is my first time to use it . Here are my problems ? Pls help

1/ Using Juicer output as a motion background for AL7 is very good .The resolution is good.
2/ When using the "Lower Third" output to my  project , the edge of "Lower Third " is rough,
it does not smooth. What's the problem ?
BTW  I use AL7 to work with my still images , I want to put them to a DVD with motion background.
These are my wedding photos and I want to use the DJ Wedding Kit apply to my wedding photos.
The "Lower Third" apply to my still images comes out rough edge .
Here is the setting
FPS : 25
Fields :Lower (Even)
resolution:720*576
output : Quicktime
Video Codec :Animation
Regards
Stephen from H.K. Thanks all

Hi Stephen!

You can try this:

1) juicer - take lower third, put in batch window
              - render seting: DV ore NTSC, outpurt AVI - Uncompres, alpha separate - AVI uncompres.

2) AL 7.x - Import in to AL 7.x  , next possition the lower third and viola!

If Any question ask.

Sincerely Jon

FuFuwong,

From the Support page, Juicer 23 setting for Liquid.  Your edges should be a smooth as silk.

Lower
720x480 or 486 for D1/D5
29.97
AVI
uncompressed or Editing codec
Import PNG sequence into Liquid directly from DVDs
The Liquids can edit in many codecs so choose the one you are editing with for realtime Backgrounds.

If you are trying something with a alpha channel, like a lower third, output to a TGA sequence, it works great everytime.

Let's us know your progress.

You mentioned that you are using 25fps.  If you are PAL then you probably would need to disregard the 29.95fps recommendations.

Hi all friends :
thank for your answers,I will try this some day latter .May  I ask another question ,the output setting is set to TGA or PNG ,which is suitable for AL7?
I use the file for alpha channel .Another amazing problem ,I render a Wedding Overlay file from my ETK , the setting is alpha channel and the preview in Juicer
also is alpha , the last result is a motion background with some rosees when I input to AL . Does anybody know the reason ? I will post the image next time.

Stephen

Stephen,

I have just tried an arbitary Overlay with Alpha from ETK3 and output as suggested AVI/Embedded Alpha (Full Frames Uncompressed) in Juicer2.  I then imported into Liquid 7.1 (linked btw not copied for this trial but normally I "copy").  I put the clip over an interview and with the 2D editor scaled the overly with some transparency and it looked very nice straight away.  So, let us know how you get on with the recommended settings.
