I am just about to use my first DJ SFX for a logo and the Tinkly (Noise) is just what I'd want - but it's length is about half what i need. 6 seconds vs. 10 - and pasting it back to back isn't the best solution. Any other ideas on how to extend the length? Thanks! |

1st off welcome to the forums 2nd of all, I am unaware of what sound that is in the library, but you can always mess with the duration if the pitch isn't an issue, add a reverb in your audio editing application, or stretch it out a little bit (80% of the original), hard limit it (effectively raise the audio level), adjust the pitch, and viola - sounds easier than it is, but those are my ideas for ya

You may also try layering the sound on different time lines and offsetting the start times. john _____________________________ J2D:184 JB 1-38 JBHD 1-20 ETK 1-10 MDE 1-20 SW 1-10 VT 1-3 SFX 1-2 ST 1-21 BT 1-2 JD 1-52 DJTV S1 PTK 1 DJ 2.0 Swigglez (in reply to Eric Hartmann) |

I don't know which software you use for editing the audio but if the application provides a good timetretching algorithm you could use that to extend the length.

Thanks guys! I'd never really examined how to use the Audio Suite in Xpress Pro but it does have a compressor/expander that works just for things like this!

I get it you're talking about the "Time Compression Expansion" plugin. The terms Compressor/Expander are usually used for dynamics compression/expansion.
