Welcome to DJ Forums James.... No need to be scare... we'll help you out.... Even tho I am a FCP user, I have never used iMovie but I did a little experiment and I was able to import a Jumpback into iMavie no problem. However I would advise you to bite the bullet and get into FCP even if is into Final Cut Express, which is not as expensive and still very powerful. $0.02 _____________________________ Work: Mac OS-X/10.4.11 Dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5 2 GB SDRAM (2) 500GB HDD GeForce 6600 - 256MB Home: iMac OS-X/10.4.11 Intel 2.0 Core Duo 2 GB DRAM 1- 250GB HDD 1 - 1 TB (Lacie Ext. I use Jump Backs and SFX files in IMovie, FC HD Express, and directly into Quicktime Pro. No problem. The Juicer is really the best thing to use to help you get started. It is really worth watching the tutorials and experimenting while you learn how to use it. The results are great. While FCP is a great tool, IMovie will do so much you might find it is a great, quick tool for you. While I can use the FC stuff when it counts, IMovie becomes a shorthand way of producing stuff on the quick. I really recommend trying out 30 second experiments using Jump Backs or other DJ products. The first thing I ever did was take a Jump Back and put it in Quicktime Pro and then have QT put a sound effect to it using the Add to Selection and Scale command, I made my own Swipe. It all clicked after that. You'll do it. (in reply to mediatvguy) |
