I read that "With Sound FX2 and the all new Juicer 3, you can browse, preview and export your ETK and MDE animations with coordinated, custom sound effect".  Does that mean that when you go to render a ETK or MDE, a sound effect is suggested in Jucier 3 to render along with the effect?  I do not have the beta Juicer 3 so I do not know what is has to offer for options, but I did read the thread on Swipes and how 2 sound effects are offered when rendering a swipe.  Is that the same kind of option when using any ETK or MDE if you have SoundFX2 using Juicer 3?  I already own Sound FX1 and I am interested in pre-ordering Sound FX2, but want to make sure it fits my needs.  Any additional details that you are willing to share would be greatly appreciated.

Yes Tazz, it will work similarly to the way Juicer 3 handles Swipes. One big difference is that Swipes has TWO soundfx per anim, while the ETK and MDE elements have one. So there will be a difference in how the interface works. Also, I'd like to clarify that the sounds are not suggested, but are created for a specific animation element. Of course they can be used as stand alone sounds, but were created to match the mood, motion and theme of a particular animation.

To add to what Viv said, the added functionality will come to life in Juicer 3 when you have both SFX2 and a ETK or MDE volume installed.

Here is a mock up showing how it will work.   The final may look slightly different as this is from several weeks ago but you get the idea as to work flow..

Notice  little [1]  representing the SFX shows up under the wipes on ETK sets..  Then when you drag to batch list you'll be asked whether you want the optional SFX or not... and how do you want to handle it...

Then when you go to render you'll be first prompted for the proper SFX2 disc and then the proper ETK disc..  Over time this will get smarter and smarter..

While I have you here..... What happens when you slow down or speed up an animation?

Hi Mr Hebel,
Next can you make the example just a bit larger? Smiles.
All kidding aside, this is awesome! Thanks for the sneak peak.

I would make them smaller but I didn't make them, i just borrowed them from the programmer's secret documents.. So i didnt bother to resize them.

We have a great User Interface Team (Harish, Raghavendra, and Rachanaaaaaaaa) that do these wonderful mock-ups for the programmers.  They also design all the Juicer 3 skins.

Good question on what Jose asked

" While I have you here..... What happens when you slow down or speed up an animation?"

Can you on these, and will it affect the sound on the file by stretching or shrinking it?

WOW!!! This is getting exciting.

Plus, it's neat to see that I'm not alone - even the President himself can't figure out how to download (I mean upload) an avatar. LOL
