Wedding Videos - 4/24/2007 3:12:26 PM

I've recently started editing wedding videos for a company a buddy of mine works for. He's been doing it a few years, but I've just got a few under my belt so far. The problem is, I don't like how his come out compared to mine as we disagree quite a bit on special effects (less is more in my book).

However, I purchased the two Editors Toolkits for weddings and would like to try and incorporate some of the effects into future productions - if I can do it tastefully. My video editing talents are great, but I'd like to polish off the projects to take them to the next level. Mind and his.

What I'm really looking for are some real life examples of professional wedding videos that have used Editor's Toolkits (#3 and #7) effects. I'd like a couple/few different examples, from different producers -- preferably copies of the final DVD as presented to the client. Please PM me if you could send one, and I'll reimburse postage. Or if you know of any online resources for wedding videos, that would be good, too.

Thanks!

JG

Thanks, Matt!

Embarrassingly, I didn't think to look in the Showcase

I found Part 1 & 2 of this and think it's terrific - I also have StackTraxx 17 so glad to hear it in context.

I'm still looking forward to seeing other examples that use more of the Editors Toolkits for Weddings, however, but this is a good start...

Dan, you did a fabulous job!

If there's one thing I like, it's taste. And you definitely have that...! :)

I initially couldn't get Matt's link to work, then I realized that half of his link was not hyperlinked.

Once I had a chance to FINALLY look at the piece, all I can say is WOW! GREAT JOB, Dan! Love the vignette B&W opening, and the final shot is incredible. Is that just handheld, or a Glidecam / Stedicam at work? I would love to hear more about how you achieved that awesome final shot.

I used a Stedicam Merlin for the complete wedding (5+ hours carrying about 6-7lbs(PD150+Merlin) out in front of me) except for the ceremony where I locked down with 2 cameras on tripods.
