I recently purchased Knoll Light Factory and an editor toolkit as part of a special you ran.
Order ID: 317953

After installing Knoll Light Filter I discovered that it does not work with HD projects in Premiere Pro.  Had I known this I would not have purchased it.  I contacted RedGiant through their support website, but have had less than adequate response and am still unable to use the software I paid for.  Since I only do HD work and use Juice HD products, it would have been nice to have been informed that Knoll Light filter does not work in HD projects.  I am now stuck with something I can not use.  Digital Juice should be more careful about who they align themselves with as this type of thing will surely affect your reputation as well as that of Red Giants.

I'm sorry you purchased a piece of software that doesn't work for you, but DJ did run the special for several days and there were plenty of time to call or e-mail them to ask if it would work.  Hopefully DJ will take care of you and refund the money, but it doesn't hurt to verify that it will work before you order.

Welcome to the fourms.

I hope this doesn't sound too harsh, because that was not what I was going for.

Prior to purchase, I always click the Learn More link and follow through to read the System Requirements/Known Issues/Updates/FAQs/etc. If those don't answer my question, I send a friendly inquiry email to Sales/Tech Support. Saves a lot of time/hassle and has always worked quite well.

InstantHD never works!Posted by: banders100 (IP Logged)Date: April 6, 2007 04:11PM

Have had this for over a year now and have never got it to work even once! Tech support is horrible so I'm relying on users, since we usually know more than the software company themselves anyway. I have a cineframe project that I am working on in premiere pro 2.0 I use, I should say, try to use instanthd on a 1140X1080 project using the PRESET and it renders out looking nothing like it did in premiere. The clip that I use instanthd on renders out 4:3 while it looks ok in premeire i am using this on a digital juice overlay. I have tried every single preset in intanthd including PAL settings which would obvously not work and I get the same result, nothing. I am really feeling like I've been ripped off by Red Giant. I know for sure that I will never buy from them again!

Speaking of that, I got the Magic Bullet deal and the filters don't seem to work properly in Final Cut Pro 6.0.1.  I installed on different machines in older versions of Final Cut to test and the filters work right in Final Cut 4.5 and Final Cut 5.0.4.  I am going to inquire to Red Giant this week and see what they say.  I asked someone at Apple and they said to talk to Red Giant.  Is anyone else using the filters in Final Cut Pro 6.0.1??
