I was wondering if DJ ever thought about bring out a After Effects Digital Juice Jumpbacks? Why? I was thinking in the line of Juice Drops. After Effects could be layers turned on/off. Change layers with colors, Remove layers, Add two Jumpbacks to make one within the layering. I know you can do some of this somewhat but not easy and not total control. What does anyone think about this? Is it possiable?

For sure... but realistically waiting for Blu-Ray or HD-DVD to store all those layers. Oh... and our own software to blend the layers for those without AE.

Martyr, I requested this a long time ago. You might want to check out Digital Anarchy's Chaos Stock volume 1. They include the After Effects project files with their backgrounds.

Me 2. I understand the delivery issues but it would still be very cool.

The mythical "Layered Jump Backs" saga continues ... Once we have the software developed so that you aren't tied to AE, they will be a reality. Definitely something on the horizon. (in reply to Graham) |

We've been researching these mythical creatures for sometime.. The concept works for some kinds of Jump Backs and less well for others. It is a problem worth solving though and solve we will but we have to get a few more key pieces in place first. You'll see something soon that hints in this direction. (in reply to Graham) |

It won't be years Fred. But it won't be in the next few months either. I'm probably most excited because we are about to enter a time where the Content Men will be seperated from the Content Boys. Those companies that can't provide more customizable content will find it harder and harder to find a place in the content provider space. StackTraxx and Juice Drops are just initial dabblings in this area....Digital Juice has a serious long term commitment to R&D.

I don't know wether to be scared for the other guys are excited for my own library. You guys are already tops so to put even more distance between your products and the others is frighteningly cool. Just curious. How many layers are there in a typical Jumpback. _____________________________ Fred Matthews Spot Prod. 10 to 50 layers depending on the type of Jump Back (simply useful compared to something like future tech). But for a typical Layered Jump Back i'd imagine 4 to 10 layers.

Yes, I envision monsters, bugs, car crashes, explosions, flying people and all the crazy stuff I want to show but can't fit in my production budget. Jumpbacks A.E. would help me make my Madfilmz better. Semper Fi To All Marines & Brother Rats _____________________________ Madfilmz "We get the big picture"! (in reply to David Hebel) |
