I am overlaying from Wedding ETK an "Alpha" Overlay that is 30 seconds long. I need to run it for 1 minute 23 seconds to frame multiple shots of a couple in a park scene. I have rendered and placed 4 clips of it consecutively and then trimmed the end, but there is a noticeable video blink each time the Overlay clip starts again. I have tried dissolve transitions between each Overlay clip, it doesn't seem to work, I still get the "blink". The Overlay is on V2 track, the video is on V1 track. How can I make this Overlay clip continuous to 1 minute 22 seconds? I tried increasing the time in the effects tab of Render Settings, would not allow it. I once watched a DJ promo video that staed we can loop the Juicer clips, would that apply here? I am on a short turn time, this Friday! Help

Welcome to the Forums.

Can you tell us what overlay you are referring to so we can check from here.  Also please post your juicer settings.  Im assuming the blink is at the transition join.  Have you zoomed into the final and first frame to see if they are black.  You might try trimming the one frame to see if that helps.   Also just to be sure, can you post what version of Quicktime you are using.

The problem is one frame of black at the end of each animation. I've had that problem for years and haven't found out why. But, if you delete just one frame at the end of the animation, then add the next animation it is seamless. it's a pain, but it works.

Better late than never :)

Hmm, I will have to check that out when my ETK's come in. Sounds kinda annoying, but if you just have to trim a frame like wizard said, not too bad.

I looked at BOTH #77 Overlays from Wedding ETK and they loop fine.

I bet this was the problem.... his timeline was setup for 29.97fps and the Overlay is 60fps... thus... causing black frames at the end of each consecutive Overlay.

That is exactly what is happening to his loops. When I first started working with video I had the same problem. I always forgot about the Drop-Frame rate I was using in the timeline.

The easiest solution is to step back one frame from the end of the clip, then drag the  clip you are looping from the browser or viewer to the timeline. Make sure you have snapping enabled (the N key on your keyboard toggles the snap function) and the clip will snap to the playhead, eliminating the annoying black frame at the end of the loop.
