I don't know about Liquid, but I think that the Noise Industry FX plugs, that happens to be posted on sale here, have a plug-in for it for Final Cut Studio users.

You will probably have to rotoscope it. Duplicate the clip, crop out the tag and blur the layer on top of the original and then key it every frame if the shot is moving.

quote: If the car is not moving, you could just make a colored square, crop to the right size, and layer over it. This works in FCP, I assume it should work in liquid? _____________________________ Pops (in reply to admin@lizardtail.us) |

There is a good tutorial on rotoscoping HERE. It is for After Effects, but you should be able to take the information and apply it similarly to Liquid.

Duplicate the clip on a track above the source clip. Add a gaussian blur to the top clip. Use the cropping tool to shrink the blurred image to a size larger than the license plate. Use the edge softness tool to smooth out the edges. Without seeing the license plate( size and motion), it is difficult to be precise. If you have the time to post the clip, I have the time to help. On the other hand, you may want to post the Liquid centric question on the Avid Liquid website. Good Luck. _____________________________ Jim "It is fun doing the impossible" Quote from Walt Disney (in reply to flascrnwrtr) |

You could use JuiceDrop #5205 and pick out a license plate. Then superimpose it over the real one and track the motion with your NLE. Might be cool. It may be less obvious than blocking it entirely.

Thanks for sending your clip to me. I duplicated the clip on a track above the original track. I added a matte track to the top track. I went to Title Deko and created a black retangle with blurred edges in the center of the frame. The black triangle was about the same size as the tag. Put the TitleDeko graphic on the matte track. Put a gaussian blur on the top track(no need to use keyframes so blur the whole thing). At this point you should only see a blur where the black triangle should be. If not, select the ditle deko graphic and select properties. Turn of the "Use Alpha channel" property, Use the 2D editor to move, rotate, and resize the black/blurred triangle to blur only the tag. Good Luck. _____________________________ Jim "It is fun doing the impossible" Quote from Walt Disney (in reply to jkhorton) |
