Hi again!  I'm 98.27% sure this problem is down to operator error (it always is).   I'm using overlay 1 from set 131 in  ETK6 on Premiere Pro 1.0

I have nothing on V1, Video in V2, Overlay on V3, a title on V4.  The title comes in and goes out but when I try to drop a cross disolve on the overlay to take it off screen and just leave the full screen video, I get ONE black frame at the start - it's only one frame but it's enough to be very noticable.  The black frame is the first frame of the disolve but the whole video track goes to black and fades up as well as the overlay going.

Have I rendered it out correctly? - AVI, uncompressed, embedded alpha, PAL 24fps, progressive scan.

I haven't noticed this problem before.  Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
John

Just to clarify, as the dissolve starts I get a full screen of black, but as the overlay fades, it takes another coupke of seconds for the video to fade back up from the black.  Surely the overlay should just fade out?

Thanks
John

Instead of using a cross dissolve, why not just keyframe the opacity levels? You render settings are correct for Premeire.

Post back and let us know if that worked for you.

Dear Doawah,

DOH!  Worked a treat.  Thanks for the help.  Why didn't I think of it?  Novices, eh?

Still, it could have been worse - I'm mean I only bought Premire and not "The Beginners' Guide to Brain Surgery"  Thanks again.

JohnB
PS Is the guy in the photo who I think it might be, if I had any knowledge of that sector, which obviously I don't????
