What features do you like or even don' t like in your current CG?

What would you like to see in a new cg?

Do you have a CG you are satisfied with?

What is your favorite CG?

OOOO Really , Hmmm How about prebuilt animation paths like 40 of them and then the ability to edit those paths and create new ones. Color and texture change, Typewriter; as if someone is typing the letters out with the ability to change the timing of course. Handwriting with some nice prebuilt script or an apperance generator based on any font and let the user choose the path, The ability to draw the font forwards and backwards.. A really easy interface! Nothing like Title Deko but something thats quick and dirty but powerful enough to turn Pro-Heads.

Is that asking too much?

Prebuilt effects would be nice, like light passing through the letters, titles automatically blurring in and out with ability to change timing, titles appearing to be hand written, a childs hand writing would be cool (like a crayon). And how about some 3D.
The ability to control drop sahdows and emboss would be nice.
I use illustrator and photoshop now for titles, I also have title deko, but I find it very limited, it' s hard to control and get a quality title.
A text on fire would be cool too.
Look forward to seeing it!

I am currently using a combination of Live Type and Title 3D (included with FCP, but a Boris plug-in I believe). Live Type is great because it has many presets motion paths and effects, which are editable. Live Fonts are also a great feature. I have used Title Decko and Boris Red. I wish there were a CG (and there may be) that had guide lines to help you align multiple text tracks visually. The Apple presentation program Keynote has this feature and it is awesome.

Very important, title safe markers. I started using Boris and they dont have them. Title Deko has them.

Something like an aftereffect style interface would be good for me. I currently do all my titleing in AE. Finally got fed up with Boris. To many issues and unstable. Oh, and bullets. use them all the time.

I think it would be cool to be able to have textures prebuilt (jump back and juice drops as well) that you could drop your title onto and it would composite to the title you type in. Like have a metallic selection, type in your words and be able to change the metallic look via color changes, shadows, etc. The ability to apply to certain letters and change fonts for each would be nice as well. This would save time creating in other effects applications and hopefully would work on a multi-tude of NLE' s. The more 3d the better.

I would like to see more transitions, wipes and motion elements. I like transitions and wipes. Digital juice should make some dvds that are dedicated to only these elements. Im pretty sure that this would be a hot seller. Always need cool trans and wipes. Motion elements too!

the most important feature ALWAYS left out of CG' s...

A SPELL CHECKER!!!

title safe markers, a good font browser, editable preset movement, ease in and out functions, keyframable everything especially motion and opacity, save with background or alpha, fully editable logo and graphic function (able to resize and move images and logos anywhere in the frame).

More if i can think of it, but even if it' s just like the rest with a spell checker you' ve got my purchase.

How about matching sound effects to the prebuilt motion paths. Whoosh noises and stuff like that. With the ability to turn them off and on. Maybe 3 or 4 choices for each motion path. Or just a bunch of noises at different lengths that we could match to the different motion paths.
Typewritter noise, keyboard noise, cartoon hammers, zings and boings etc....
How about a free jumpback if any of these suggestions are new to you and you use them

Matt: Do you mean Boris Grafitti? It does have title/safe areas. Go to Preview/Mark and you will see title-Safe Area.

I think the CG that ships with Premiere is very good, but incorporating pre-built motion templates would make it better. The ability to use Jump Backs as a texture for the face or sides of the text would be a nice feature. I' m using Cayman' s Power CG and I absolutely hate it, but it shipped with Velocity. Boris Grafitti is way too slow and clunky, nice text attributes though.

Thanks mediadude, didn' y know the safe markers where there, it would be nice if they where there the whole time (like title decko) without having to go to a preview.
