This problem only shows up when rendering to MPEG-2.  I've done RAM previews, MTSC DV, and other types of renders and the problem does not appear.  Notice in the picture, the black specks along the top of the dress line, on the color bone, and down the veil as well as the tiara.  When the video is playing the these specks change location and bounce from spot to spot along the over exposed areas.  I've never seen this problem before and have had no luck eliminating them using levels, or broadcast colors filters.  Anyone have any ideas?????

Try saving it as a .jpg instead of a .png, maybe that is the cause.

The problem actually has to do with the fact that the preview window is an overlay. SnagIt fools you to think you've captured it by showing it in it's preview window, but when saving, it just saves the black background on which the overlay is displayed. You're going to have to save the frame as a jpeg by clicking on the floppy disc icon at the top of the Vegas preview window.

will do Ken.  I'll post it tonight when the laptop it's on arrives back at the house.  In the meantime, anyone ever had white spedkles float around a picture on overexposed areas?
