To all Grass Valley/Canopus EDIUS 3.0 & above users, To retain the Digital Juice's Alpha Channel in Juicer3, go to Format: change it to avi, then click Format Options: choose Canopus Lossless in the Video Compression. Note: the video files in this setting is a bit bigger than your normal avi video format. |

What do you mean by "not work"? The Juicer won't render to Canopus Lossless? Edius won't import? Alphas not working? Welcome to the forums - I hope vshing is still around to give us a hand! (in reply to HDVideo) |

What i mean is when i rendered to Canopus Lossless I do not get the alpha channels. The only way i get the alpha channels is when i use the raw files from the DVD and one reason i bought this was to be able to change the color and look with the juicer. Ex. I just bought Editors Toolkit 10. I am using 241 Fullscreen wipe. I tried several different outputs starting with the ones DJ TV recommends. I even used the canopus lossless. What happens is when i insert the 241 fullscreen wipe above both clips in the timeline i do not see any of the underlying video clips beneath the wipe. In fact when i render the wipe it looks different from what the actual wipe is supposed to be. The true wipe has a lot of blue and brown in the wipe and when i rendered usinge juicer i get a lot of red and no alpha channels. I also tried using the alpha transition and can't figure that out in edius either. Edius does not have track mattes. But that is for another post. _____________________________ Brent Nelsen www.coastalweddingfilms.com (in reply to D. Eric Franks) |
