It's so hard to find great stuff like this! Ace, I wish you would start an in-depth training course on Compositing and Motion graphics. I would buy it!

Powerfully helpful intro to compositing engaging effects! I'm beginning to understand how mattes and masks actually work!

Thanks for breaking down a scene into its constituent parts and then showing us how to put it all together. Inspirational and this may have helped break a creative block that's been hanging over me on my current project!

anyone else have problems with the iPod version of this video?
it causes QT Player, VLC, and Miro (Democracy) to crash
right at the 00:04:13 mark. I will download one of the others
(Medium, Large) and see if it plays through.
(My rating is based on what I did get to see.)

Very Good Show! I know a little about masking, but you have helped me out a great deal with the areas that I didn't know of. Thanks always.

Ashley

Very informative. I'll never be able to watch the opening to the "crime shows" without thinking of you, Ace!
By the way, the tape dispenser on your desk is facing away from you ;-)
Great Show!

This is my first visit to DJTV. I will definitely be going through your archives and cutting class on a regular basis from now on. The information is given in a clear and simple presentation.

Sweet! I appreciated the breaking down of the individual layers in this project. The effect is something I have tried to mimic but to no avail. Thanks again for the explanations!

Have you guys ever considered offering classes/workshops? I get a lot of great ideas by watching DJTV and would jump at the chance to attend a DJ user convention.

As usually your movie is very helpful in my job. This, what you are doing is really amazing. It's pitty that you don't show edition in Sony Vegas. Greetings from Poland!

easy to follow and understand. Good for basic and intermediate users. Great definitions of Alpha channels (used a cute story), and step by step clear instructions. Bravo.

Thank youfor the information you so readily give out! As always, I am incredibly impressed not only with your knowledge but also how you are committed to teaching your customers.

Hello, very interesting, direct and very comprehensive. Good explanation. that gave me some ideas that i am gonna use in my next commercial :). thanks guys keep up the good work. Always checking up on your help. The only thing, i am using Premier Pro, but it dose not make any difference.
I "detail" explanations in the lesson which gives more understanding on what you are really saying. so it's very nice. waiting for some more tricks.

Do you guys sell more time in a day. Wow! For us newbies this is a great inspiration. The last comments were an encouragement to get started. Thank you so much for these tools and tips.

Wow. Great stuff. I was always kind of in the dark about compositing stuff, and this sheds a little light.
No need to search for tutorials anymore.....DJ has all the good stuff here!

This clip really helped me begin to understand how to use all of the elements. I wondered how you could blend a foreground image without using chromakey, and I found out in a matter of seconds. More doughnuts !!!!

Wow! It's amazing what can be done by simply combining several "off the shelf" items, rather than trying to re-invent the wheel from scratch.
Tons of valuable information here - in fact probably too much information covered too quickly to pick up in just one or two viewings - but since I can watch it over and over again, I'm sure I'll be able to master these techniques.
Thanks Chris! Thanks Digital Juice!

Way cool Ace. I love seeing multiple elements used together and how they complement each other. I've got some great ideas from this one.

Excellent tutorial on masks and composites. It’s easy to see why you are known as “Ace”. What intrigued me the most, however, was the writing on the blackboard? Le Voyage dans la lune….

Chris made compositing look so easy that a novice like me wants to cut class and jump into the compositing playground!! Thanks for the tips and tricks.
