Wow this product seems to be what I was looking for. Looks simple yet effective. Although were is the link to buy it?
Great looking product. Simple, yet sophisticated enough to handle many situations well. Now all I have to do is start saving money. I could definitely benefit from a steadier camera. I usually just use a monopod that is extended down to just below my knees. It works in a pinch, but I can see this would be much better

Well the video was right. There is no gimble.
Placing a camera on a section of broomstick with a weight on the bottom and a great big washer at the balance point is about the same thing.
Now I know why steadicams cost a lot.

I already have a similar product and if you have a few extra bucks, do yourself a favor and check this one out http://www.barbertvp.com/products-steddiepod.html It's WAY more versatile. It does come with a slightly higher price, but you get SO MUCH MORE. I have the one without the swivel handle. I use it all the time - never go on a shoot without it!
should I get the Ultralite or the Xtreme? I shoot with small prosumer cams but I'd like to upgrade in the future. Go for the Extreme as I can probably use it with all cams up to 8lbs or get both? Ultralite has the advantage of being, well, ultralite... any thoughts or advice what I should do? which one to get? both?...
How about making SteadyTracker one of the DJ partners so we can receive a discount, I would be first in line to purchase.
