Product Frst Look: PhotoKnockouts In Use

Growing a Photo based marketing campaign

Hosted by Jacqui Dawson, Creative Director

RELEASE DATE: OCTOBER 15, 2009

Take a quick look at the possibilities our newest product line can provide. PhotoKnockouts are pre-masked, high resolution photo cutouts of people in a wide variety of situations, attire, culture and age. Follow along as we develop a simple marketing campaign which builds on a template and uses PhotoKnockout images to quickly and easily redirect the focus of the material by swapping in and out a cast of meticulously isolated actors representing specific market demographic groups. Dropping these PKO characters into a set photographic template is fast and the result is a quality custom look.

Jacqui, Nice Job. I like the Photo Knockouts but I wish I could afford them.

I love the photo knockout because of the high res of the photo's. Better than the other places.

Very nice! I shall recommend this as a basic P'shop tutorial to noobs, useful even without the product demo.

And, an AfterEffects demo of using PhotoKnockouts in video would be a nice follow-up.

It looks so easy when someone else is doing it! :)

Great show of variations. I especially appreciate the drop shadow tip (from many episodes ago) - I've gone lighter and I like it better. Thanks

Great video as usual, Jacqui. I like the idea of this new product from Digital Juice. However, I do mostly video projects now, instead of print. For the types of video projects I'm doing, I need, in addition to the "happy" or "goofy" types of poses, some serious ones (not smiling, or even sad poses). I can't really tell those types of poses are available in this set, as the samples I see are of the other type. It is tempting, though, especially with the gift certificates and the free shipping, so I have a feeling I'll probably wind up getting it anyway!

Jacqui, great tutorial, I use stock photos all the time and spend a lot of time cutting them out. I think I'm sold on this package.. thanks again.

Jacqui, U are one of a kind. Thanks for all you do for us little people.I hear you that is cool that they are ready to go, but we cannot give up that amount of Money right now. Try telling Dave to do them in single CD. Cost less. peace and thanks again D

This product looks great and if I did more print stuff I would buy it in a heartbeat. Since I don't I'm on the fence on it.

Nice tutorial. Not a very much needed product on my part. Maybe someday.

I'm more excited about Photo Knockouts than I've been about any other DJ product in a long time. This is going to save me so much time and effort for my own design as well as client work.

I would love to see more training videos such as this one showing several creative uses for Photo Knockouts.

I would love to see a VIDEO version of this theme.

Thanks for the ideas on how to utilize the product.
Looks amazing.

I really want this product, but my graphic designer says she probably wouldn't use it much... Maybe I'll buy it anyway, because if we use it just once or twice, it'll be worth the investment!

Ok, now when is the HD video version of this coming out? I know you didn't get all these models in the studio without a video camera running!

OK. Very nice. Can I assume that each modeled pose that shows up in the Juicer has more poses? Is that the reason for the number on the folder in the Juicer pics?
Still debating if I can afford this right now.

Very nice training video Jacqui! Wow, the photo cutouts -> just dropping, scaling and arranging.... My brain is churning on how I could use this product!

I look forward to seeing more training from you, Jacqui, with Photo Knockouts!

Looks awesome... but would like to see more background types of photos... I do portraits where I use green-screen... would be more beneficial to have varied types of back-ground pics. But you are on the right track!

The knockout qualiy seems to be quite good and the resolution allow me to use on large displays and vehicle wraps! I hope you will also be developing object photoknockouts for things like occupations, sports, etc.

nice nice nice...but I think we need many more stuff than "people". I´m very suspend to see in which direction this product will be developed in the future.

That was GREAT!!! Thanks I learn so much from you. Jacqui, teach me how to place a person over a board as you have in this video showing the next steps..

  • Jacqui Dawson

Delia, that's the great thing about PKO... the images of the woman with the board in various poses are all images provided in PKO. I didn't have to do anything except pop them into my layout and add text on top.

Good idea for a tutorial. And again, Nice Tutorial, Jacqui!

I have to agree, these massive collections are nice (and the content is AMAZING!!!) but they are not always affordable. Individual JuiceDrops, Editors Toolkit Pro Sets, ThemeKits, etc. are for me a better investment - I can purchase as I need something for a project rather than having to save up in order to plan head for a contingency. (Note the name of my company...)

But please, keep the great content coming!

Really good job Jacqui and Digital Juice. It is expensive for these days but if you are really tracking what your costs are, a tough job for artists, this is a worthwhile product. The video uses are many as well. It is on my list. I just need to keep my eye and mind open as to how this can open a door or solve a problem and it will be ordered. Thanks for breaking the suspense about what DJ would do next.

Man, I want this set! I just wish it wasn't such a large chunk of change to get it. please, do things at the single disk level, not these massively priced sets. I own nearly all Juice Drops for example, a few disks at a time... but if that had been a set of this price, I still would be juicedrop;ess. *sigh* Please take your customers' budgets into consideration. Thanks!
