VFX PACKAGE IN PRODUCTION
Digital Juice is now in production on a new collection of ultra high-res (2k), ultra high-speed, ultra high-def elements for visual effects artists, motion graphics designers, compositors, and video editors. Juice had to acquire an entirely new acquisition system for the project. After considering several options, including 35mm film, the company purchased the high speed Phantom HD camera from Vision Research.
The Phantom is a digital cinema camera that records at 2K (2048x1536) resolution, with a maximum resolution of 2048x2048, and shoots HD at frame rates up to 1000fps (with adjustable frame rates in single-frame increments). It is capable of shutter speeds as fast as two microseconds (1/500,000 second). Initial volume offerings will include elements such as smoke, fire, particles, magic effects, water, paint, ink & cloud chamber, and fabrics among other things.
TEXTUAL HEALING

Looking for some new options for your text treatments? You've come to the right place! Digital Juice is nearing completion on a new line of super-high-resolution text libraries that are sure to be a big hit with print designers, video producers and presenters.
These are not your run-of-the-mill fonts. Every character in every set is being hand-drawn. The effort involved for creating just one set is equal to about what we spend on a volume of Juice Drops.
There are more than 140 characters in each font set that have to be individually crafted. Expect them to start rolling out regularly some time in the second quarter of 2008.
