WEDDING PROKIT?
I noticed today that DJ was about to sell out of its Wedding Tools Editor's Toolkit. That got me thinking and I scanned the currently released ETK Pro volumes. I completely understand why Digital Juice may have decided not to repress the original ETKs and move on, but my concern is that unless DJ is planning on coming out with an ETK Pro Wedding set soon they will not have any real collection of motion graphics tailored for that event. Unless an ETK Pro Wedding volume is on the heels of release it might not be a bad idea to keep Wedding Tools I & II in very limited production until more products along that line are released.

Fear not, J. While we are phasing out our original standard definition Editor's Toolkits, we haven't forgotten all of our wed-itor friends out there. In this issue you will see the debut of a new series of "Editor's Themekits" available now. While weddings are a must-have theme that we'll surely include in this library often, there are many other themes covered as well, including music, worship, parties and more. DID I HEAR WHAT I THINK I HEARD?
The promotional video for Editor's Toolkit Pro 6 in the DJTV section of your website is awesome! But I was COMPLETELY distracted when Set 32 was being introduced. I wanted to hear the music! In fact, I got so lost in the music, I didn't even hear what Chuck was saying! I played that little piece over and over again. I wanted to hear more! Then I had to block out the music and really concentrate on what was being said. I thought that it might have been a taste of the upcoming Worship StackTraxx!! Is it?? Please tell me it is! Please!!!!!!
- Mark Cummings, SON RAISE Event Productions

Good ear, Mark! Man, we can't slip anything past you, can we? You've either blown our cover or discovered one of our ingenious grassroots cross-marketing ploys... we'll let you decide. What you heard is in fact a cut from our not-yet-released Worship StackTraxx collection. The track is called "Shine" and you can look for it on our upcoming Pop volume, due out in August -DJ

ABRACADABRA!
WOW! You guys are AWESOME! I keep looking at your website, and every time I go there I find another incredible deal! You have consistently made it easy for me to add content and value to my media library. This helps me tremendously! My clients think I can pull a rabbit out of a hat! Thanks DJ, for filling my hat!
- Gary Gingrich, Gingritch Photography

We're glad we've been able to play a role in the success of your productions, Gary. One of the great things about using Digital Juice content is the fact that it's our users who get the recognition from the clients. We'll gladly be the guy hiding under the little table handing you rabbits while you dazzle your doe-eyed audiences -DJ

CREDIT CRISIS
I plan to buy some StackTraxx to use in a documentary I am producing. My question is: Do I have to give credit to DJ for those tunes?
- Hootch, Toronto, Canada (via DJ Forums)

The short answer to your question is, "No, you don't!" Most of Digital Juice's content is royalty-free. When you purchase a volume of StackTraxx, you become licensed to use the music in your productions whenever, however, forever. The longer (and profoundly more "legal sounding" answer can be found in our EULA (End User License Agreement).

According to the StackTraxx EULA, "You may adapt, synchronize, reproduce and distribute the Content only in conjunction with and as an integral part of multimedia works and/or multiform audio presentations as created, adapted, edited or synchronized by our customers. This includes but is not limited to distribution of your non-profit or for-profit audio-visual works distributed over web, broadcast, film, DVD, radio, public presentations, and personal or private uses...

You are not required by this license (except in case of ultimate broadcast and performance of the Content by Blanket-License Holders) to create or file "cue sheets" or pay broadcast fees or royalties with respect to any use or broadcast of your audio-visual work; provided, however, if "cue sheets" are normally required for reasons independent of this license, the applicable Digital Juice, Inc. publisher designee shall be correctly identified thereon as the publisher, along with the respective composer identified in the StackTraxx packaging, as applicable."

You can read the entire EULA for StackTraxx on our website by going to the StackTraxx product page and clicking on Royalty Free End-User License Agreement. (BTW, you can read similar license agreements for all of our product lines. Just look for the link on each product page). On a more personal note, we LOVE getting credit in people's productions! So, just because you don't HAVE to give us a credit, doesn't mean we wouldn't love to get one! -DJ

POSITIVE FEEDBACK
I am the proud owner of all of the Digital Juice product line. I have attached a picture of my collection in my video editing studio. My company designs and installs high-end custom residential electronics. We put the "real" movie theaters in homes as well as any type of audio-video, security, control & automation. Your products have helped us prepare marketing materials, promotional DVDs, customized client presentations and several broadcast commercials. I am a loyal customer and will continue to be for many years to come. As a business owner I can appreciate the need for positive feedback and I wanted to thank you and your team for the great products we utilize almost daily.

Wow! Thanks for sharing the great feedback and photo, Scott! That's quite a collection you've got there. It really is quite impressive when you see it all together. I only see one problem... you'll need to add some more shelf space for future product releases! I hope you have another wall you can fill! Thanks for taking time to write. We really do appreciate your compliments -DJ
