BackTraxx: Animations not playing smoothly in media players or presentation software.

See All Topics for BackTraxx

Animations may play back jittery, slow, or jumpy in media player software such as Windows Media Player or QuickTime, or in presentation products such as Powerpoint, Keynote, MediaShout, or EasyWorship. This is a result of the video being rendered with no compression or not enough compression for the system to play back the video at real time.

The Juicer 3 software has many options for rendering animations so that they will playback smoothly in these presentation packages. For applications that do not work well (or at all) with QuickTime files (MOV), we'd recommend starting with the Windows Media video format (WMV).

************* (Old) Juicer 2 Settings*************

To render the animations to play smoothly on the system use the following comression suggestions in the Juicer 2:

  • Select one of the codecs from the video settings of Quicktime, such as Sorrenson Video 3, or the DV/DVC Pro codec.
  • Select one of the codecs from the video settings of AVI, such as Indeo or Cinepak, or using the Panasonic DV codec (must be installed before using in the Juicer 2).
