BackTraxx: Installing previews fails in Juicer 2

See All Topics for BackTraxx

If the Juicer 2 will not install previews, your computer cannot read the discs and no other steps have solved the issue, DLA, or Drive Letter Access may be at fault.

To disable WinXP packet writing software:

  1. Run My Computer (or Explorer).
  2. Right-click your DVD drive and select Properties.
  3. On the Recording tab, deselect "Enable CD recording on this drive".

This does not disable recording on the drive: it only disables packet writing, which very few people actually use.

DLA is a packet writing software that may interfere with the loading of information from Digital Juice DVDs. Sonic DLA is the most common and comes OEM on Dell computers as well is with the Sonic and RecordNOW burning suites. Dell, HP, IBM and Sony computers may also have OEM DLA software installed. Windows XP has its own form of Packet Writing Software that may also cause problems.

To uninstal DLA software:

  1. Go to the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel"
  2. Select the "Add or Remove Programs" option.
  3. When the list has populated, scan the programs for any DLA software(such as Sonic DLA) and uninstall.
  4. Restart the computer and attempt to install the product.
